Well the inevitable has happened, the gearbox has lost drive. I don't have anything for diagnostics either. Got the car home with recovery but now I have a car that won't drive. What sort of costs are the gearbox repairs? I know they aren't cheap. Can I get something off ebay to read the fault codes?

ElsaWin arrived, just got to look at it now.

ElsaWin ordered, CVT oil purchased, oil pump ordered, hopefully got the security key already...

Just purchased a 53 A6 Avant and so far i'm very pleased with her. I'm a little apprehensive on the CVT box but beggars can't be choosers. Audi have been very helpful with service history but unfortunately no history on the clutch as to whether it has been upgraded to a seven plate one. Will be doing a CVT oil change very soon to be on the safe side. Also i'm trying to find a service manual but Haynes don't seem to do one. Any pointers please?
