  1. looking for help at changing gearstick gaitor on my audi 80 1992

    robin posted a topic in New Members Introductions
    Hi I am new to this site and also to owning an audi 80 1992 saloon. I want to change the gear stick leather gaiter over as the one on it is perished. I can take the old gaiter off by unscrewing the gear knob and pulling the leather out from the bottom. I am stuck ( probably being thick ) as to how to pop out the inner plastic from the center to re attach the leather as I am not sure if it just pops out with some force, as I do not want to break it when trying. Any help would be appreciated.
