Iv not had the car since June so I don't know what it would normally do in the colder weather. I will wait for the warmer weather and assess it then. No codes on VCDS.

Hopefully someone can help. Recently my car seems to be running at a slightly higher tickover. Just over 800rpm. It used to be under 800rpm. Could there be an issue? It's a 3.0tdi.

Tv tuner is working. Its just the signal so all good there. But there is a problem with the GPS antenna as it is coming up with an open circuit intermittent fault through VCDS. Can anyone tell me or have instructions how to remove the antenna for renewing? This is the 2014 facelift A8. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Steve, I got in touch with Audi on the sat nav update and they wanted £300 to do it. I had a look on the web and found a company called navigationupdate. I bought the 2019-2020 MMI3G update including the navigation update. Comes in 3 SD cards where one them has the code for the navigation part. I havnt received it yet as it's due to arrive today. If anyone are thinks I'm doing the wrong thing please advise before I start the update. Thanks again. John

I was parked up at the time. I used VCDS with a genuine rosstech HEX CAN. It did say it was intermittent but that was GPS antenna it was pointing to. No issues with the sat nav, just out of date. If it is the antenna is this easy to change? The car is late 2014 d4 facelift. And owned the car for 3 weeks now. Thanks for your reply Steve.

Hi All, Hopefully someone can give me some advice. I have just bought this car 2 weeks ago A8 D4 2014 facelift. I was playing around with the MMI (MMI 3g I think) to see what options it had and came across the TV tuner. I selected it to see what would happen and to my surprise i could watch TV (all the free view digital channels). I assume digital as it says that next to each channel. The reception wasn't great as the picture was in and out but sound was there. A couple of days later I was picking the other half up from work so i decided to watch some news but this time it showed all the channels but I couldn't watch anything as there was no picture or sound. I have tried in various areas now just in case it is a reception issue but no joy. Does anyone have any ideas. help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi I used to have the 2.0tfsi B8 where I had it mapped also. after a few weeks I had noticed a hesitation under load on 3rd and 4th. at around 2800rpm. I found that it was the re circulation valve on the turbo. at the time there used to be an issue with the old one as the diaphragm used to split. This was the new one that was already fitted. I ended up buying a Go fast bit (GFB) diverter valve and this solved the issue. i did need to service that part every time an oil change was done. hopefully this will help. I don't know if the turbo arrangement in your car will be the same as its a diesel but worth a look.

Had a brand new A4 B8 Black Edition Quattro 2.0tfsi with all the options i could put on it from factory in 2011, and was cherished immensely. I kept it until November last year (2019) and sold it. I then bought a Jaguar XJ X351 and loved it straight away, the novelty wore off after a couple of months. Too rear happy, and just didn't hug the road like the A4 did which i missed. So I thought i needed to get back into Audi again and found this lovely 2014 A8 facelift. what an absolute beauty. finished in Panther black pearl (same as the A4) 1 owner from new. full Audi service history. and still smells new inside. i don't think the previous owner had many friends as all the seats and carpet are in pristine condition lol. and only done 37000 miles. I am now extremely happy i have got this one. STUNNING!!! There is two things I need to ask though. the sat nav is out of date. How can this be updated? and secondly the touch pad only shows the numbers. I take it this can not be used for entering locations into the sat nav?
