I am looking at getting rid of the 2012 A6 Avant i have had for over 8 years relatively trouble free motoring and replacing it with a 2020-2023 Q5. More short journeys now steer me towards the petrol engines and particularly the hybrid. Is the Autobox the twin clutch job or a slushbox? What service intervals does this model have for the various bits? On the A6 the gearbox needs doing every 4 years or so, cam belt every 5 years or so and obviously the oil every year or so. I only do about 6-10k a year now but it mainly long journeys (30-400 miles) when it is used and parked up most of the rest of the time.
