  1. Hi, I'm planning to sort out a little curb rash on my alloys.I'd prefer to just sand and silver paint (touch up) the area affected than spray the whole wheel if that's possible. Can anyone advise me on a plan of action on what I can do to get it back to original satin finish. Is it possible with sandpaper/paint? Thanks, JP
  2. Not there mate. I've a sneaking suspicion I'll have to get underneath the car.
  3. Hi Guys, I am attempting my first Audi Oil filter change on my Audi S3 V8 2016. I have looked and looked and for the life of me cant locate it. There is nothing in the handbook or the internet! I have included a picture of the engine bay. Could someone please circle the location. Regards, Audi Maintenance newbie :)
  4. After inspecting my tyres, I notice that a small part of my tyre tread has partly come away from the rest of the tyre. It doesn't look major, but I would feel better if the outstanding rubber could be glued to the rest of the tyre safely. I thought of superglue but it maybe too brittle They are newish tyres, and obviously I don't want to fork out for another tyre, so any help would be appreciated.
  5. Hi, I the past I have washed my old cars with standard soap and water. After buying a nearly new model I want to protect the paintwork and keep it as pristine as possible. 1.After investigation I understand polishing takes off a layer of top coat. So I am worried that after several polishes, the top coat maybe gone. I am wondering if you can polish the panel and replenish the top coat layer? 2. When should I polish the car? When I see tiny scratches or should I do it several times a year without fail? I am a little confused. Hope you can help. J P
  6. Hey there. Just picked up my 16 plate A3 S line petrol, with 2000 on clock yesterday. My first Audi just upgrade from a Ford and what can I say very impressed so far. I am planning to do 6 monthly oil changes and yearly services. I know that some of you guys have been driving audis for years, so from your experience, are there any weak areas of the audi build I should keep an eye on? Any parts I should regularly replace or service, that will save me heartache in the future. Prevention is better than cure :) Cheers, Jas
