  1. The Samoan Orange Q3 is the missus car and although she likes the Blue, as soon as she saw her one she fell in love with it. I think i have only seen an R8 in this Samoan Orange, not any other models. Which is my fav. Hmmmm dificult question. They both perform about the same (0-60 in a tad over 4 secs and top out at about 155), but the Skyline certainly gets more pics taken at shows and events, and draws more attention when driving it around. When i first got the Skyline i did use it for ocassional track days and sprints but it has been retired from such things now. If i had to part with one (although i absolutely love it) it would have to be the Q3, but they are both going to be around for the fore seeable future.(I hope :-)) These are the first Audi's we have had (devoted Nissan fans before) but apart from the odd hicup (Electronic Module) and the cost of an Oil Change i think we are now dedicated Audi Enthusiasts. Would love an RS6 (one of the new models, not the V10) but need to pick that lucky Lottery Ticket first :-) Cheers Tom
  2. Thanks Steve i I spent a while trying to find one in this Blue and at the time Audi Crawley was the only dealer that had one (ex demo) It was the colour that sold the TDi to the missus, she loved it. Have seen very few Audi's in this colour. The R34 is a GTt but has been extensively modified and currently running about 350 BHP (still room for a bit more if need be) It has adjustable coil overs, uprated disks and pads, large inter-cooler, Carbon Bonnet, performance filter, Large bore exhaust system, re-mapped, and a full GTr style body kit. And Nismo Wheels. I got it imported through a UK agent and have had, or done all of the above in the 3 years i have had it, except the body kit, wheels, and inter-cooler, which was how it was imported. Cheers Tom

  4. Thanks Steve and Trevor I have already got the RS booked for the Audi Event at Castle Combe in September so hopefuly catch up with some of you then. I will upload some pics but wanted add the RS to my profile/login. Cheers Tom
  5. Thanks Steve. Thats interesting to know. I would hate to do anything to jeopordise the warranty, as i had only had the RS a few months when one of the Electronic Control Units failed (Only 4K miles). I was so pleased the car was under warranty because after the repair the Dealer gave me a print out of what they would be billing Audi for. The cost of the Control Unit on its own was £2500 Yes, thats right £2500, and with the labour the bill was £2950. Just hope this doesnt go again, if out of warranty. The CD player stopped working, but un-beknown to me it was causing other probs. It only went in for a non-working CD player!!!!! I did complain to Audi UK and got a very apologetic email, but wasnt happy. I want to attach some pics to my profile (my RS, my wifes Q3 Quattro, and my Weekend car (Skyline R34)) but not being an IT expert not sure how to do this so may contact the Site Administrator. Thanks again Tom
  6. Thanks Steve I agree. If i hadnt phoned another Audi Dealer i would have assumed the first one was taking the P. Still got another 2 years on the warranty and if i still have the car by then, which i probably will have as absolutely love it, then i will be using an independent Audi Sevice Centre. Cheers Tom
  7. Hi All My Q3 RS has just had to have its first Oil change service. When i phoned my local Audi dealer to book it in i just asked how much it would be. £358 i was told. Excuse me!!!!!!!, am i hearing right. I only want an oil change not a full service. No, thats the price. I asked how they could justify this as it is only 6 Ltr of oil, a filter and a sump washer and half hour labour. I was told it had to be worked on by an RS Specialist Technician (Yeah Right!). Even i can do an oil change. I then phoned another Audi Dealer (Slough) to get a comparison. They were slightly cheaper (but only by a tenner). I asked them how they could justify this cost and they very kindly offered me (as a new customer to them) a 15% discount, which was very good of them. I have to say the whole experience at Slough Audi was brilliant and i was treated like a Lord from start to finish. I would certainly recommend Slough Audi and they will be doing any future servicing on my RS and my wifes Q3 S-Line Quattro. Could anyone offer an explanation as to why an oil change is so expensive? Thanks all Tom
