Hello, I have an Audi A4 Avant 2010, a couple of months ago the instrument cluster just suddenly stopped working. After about a month it suddenly came back on one day, and then went off again. The garage where I had MOT in March said its probably a lose connection. It has been off since March, and all of a sudden it came back on last Sunday and has been on ever since. Anyone know why this is?

Just want to thank you lovely people who replied to me when I was panicking about my car. I am happy to say I found the service record and it was done at 75k miles which is a relief. Although it says toothed belt, I believe it's the same thing, I can now enjoy my gorgeous new car. Thanks again

Thanks Steve, feeling pretty stressed now tbh, I cant really afford to spend £400 - £500 on a cambelt at this moment, after just buying the car, I am going to contact the garage and see what they say, but I doubt they will want to know, and I suppose its my own fault for not getting more information before going ahead with the purchase.

Hello, I just purchased a 2010 Audi A4 Avant, I had read about cam belts needing to be changed, so asked the salesman at the garage and he said that he didn't know anything about it. Can someone advise me please? the car has done 104,000 miles. do I need to go on miles or age, and how many years/miles do it need to be before change is due? Thanks in advance
