Hi All Lots have been posted under the EA189 update issue. I just wanted to underline that the 23Q7 is showing similar problems too. Much the same story. My car, an Audi A1, has always been serviced by Audi and ran perfectly. Then, in July 2017, when it went to Leicester Audi to be serviced, unbeknown to me, they did the 23Q7 update at the same time. At the time I wasn't perturbed; why should I be? Then, within a short time the engine management light started to flash but with no loss of power. I immediately reported this to Leicester Audi, who just told me, well, nothing really, other than to call the RAC if I were concerned. There was no offer to check the car over. To cut a miserably long story short, I've since had a long string of issues, with other emissions related warning lights coming on too, plus the car going into limp mode on a busy motorway, 100s of miles from home in torrential rain with poor visibility, which was pretty scary. RAC have been out twice and eventually Audi Assist. Leicester Audi, after some weeks, took the car back to, finally, check it. After two days I got it back, with no changes made. Two weeks later the same warning light came on and it has now been recovered to Leicester Audi and Audi UK have given me a hire car. This was after my having to be pretty insistent The current situation is that I'm continuing to use the hire car. I've told Audi that unless they can demonstrate they have 'repaired' my car, I do not want it back. Instead, I would like them to buy back the car from me giving me a (pre-update )decent price. It's watch this space for me. Anyone else in a similar situation? Any advice to offer? Good luck to those struggling to get Audi to take proper responsibility for the mess.
  2. Hi Scott I would love a copy of the service letter you referred to in your 15th Sept post please. After my Audi A1 had the software update it developed an intermittent fault with warning lights glowing plus an episode of limp mode. I've had the RAC out twice and Audi Assist once. The car then went back to Leicester Audi for 2 days and I was then called to pick it up. Nothing was done to it as 'no fault' was showing. (I'd already told them it was an intermittent fault.) The fault occurred again yesterday. I contacted Audi UK and the car has been recovered to Leicester Audi. I'm now feeling that I simply do not want this car back at all unless I can be assured that measures have been taken including new components fitted etc so my car has been returned to the previous running state, which was fine, pre-update. If they can't do that, I want Audi to buy the car back from me at an acceptable figure. I'm not accepting that all these problems are unrelated to the update. Therefore, any help to strengthen my position would be much appreciated. Thanks
