  1. Hi Just bought an audi a5 2012 sports back. Phone connects for phone calls via Bluetooth... Great job. But I'm absolutely blown away that I can't get any music to play. For a brand like audi and the spec I got I'm actually blown away. It's a simple thing.. Even back in 2012. There's not even a aux port. Any advice? I have that odd connection in the glove box.
  2. Hi, I am new here and recently purchased a new Audi 2.0 tfsi 7 speed s-tronic 252bhp A5 Quattro. I received it in September 2017 with only 12 miles on the clock and the car was great. Around 4 weeks ago I started hearing a loud sloshing sound like the doors were full of water so I checked and they are all clear. I took it into the local Audi dealer in Hull and they told me all is dry and it is the fuel tank making the noise and that it is the fuel they could hear sloshing around very loudly. They only had one other model the same as mine that was out on a demo but once back they checked it and told me that it made the same noise from the fuel tank and it was characteristic of that model. Mine did not do this up until about 4 weeks ago so I am guessing that theirs is faulty too and that many more will be the same. The dealer is not prepared to look into this further so I am unsure what to do. If I had known a £42,000 Audi would make a noise like this I would not have even looked at it from the start. Any ideas, advice or does anyone else have the same problem? Thank you.
  3. Are the Jump Start terminals in the engine bay suitable for connecting my CTEK MXS 5.0 to keep the battery on a trickle charge?
  4. Hi there. Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a really confusing situation I have with my Audi A5 Cabriolet. I know moisture or condensation in headlight and tail light clusters is no new matter in cars. But with this being the tail strip LED bulb I was wondering if anyone has come across this and knows how to rectify the issue if possible? Like a permanent fix if possible? And also how to even remove this light assembly if possible to dry it out and fix? Seems minor and petty I know but with how the weather has been over this winter I'd rather try and keep it safe a bit longer off possible as this doesn't seem your average bulb jobby. Hope everyone is holding up well and staying safe during the COVID-19. A.S
  5. Hello, first time on here so forgive me if this topic has been done before. I'm just about to sign up for a 2019 A5 Black Edition. When I viewed the car at the dealership (in daylight) I could only see ambient lighting behind the interior door handles. I know the car hasn't got the extended LED pack but what ambient lighting does it have as standard? I thought it would have some (in white) in the door cards, on the side of the centre console, in the cup holders and in footwells. Do these come on when it's dark and the headlights are on or should they be on all the time? Cheers
  6. I am looking to test drive and buy a 2012 Black Edition Audi A5 Auto 3.0 S-Tronic. The car has done 166k on the clock which I know is high mileage but has full-service history with services every 18k at Audi dealer garage. I have been told that I should ask Audi about the chain but they say its not a serviceable part. Then others say that it should be changed with such high miles. I don't know who to believe or what the costs of a change would be. Any help appreciated or things to ask/look out for appreciated.
  7. Got two discs I bought a few months back for a car I no longer have. OIEO £350

Car is Audi A5 Cabriolet 2012 1.8 tfsi milage 54,855. The code is P0068 (have attached photo stating the codes details). Basically it doesnt point my in any direction of it it's the MAP sensor or the MAF sensor. And if it did where are they? Might sound dumb but I'm no techy by any standard but was just hoping to find some guidance and this one. The photo I've attached is my engine and he area I believe the MAF sensor would be but after doing some research online I seem to not be able to see a MAF sensor?. Anyone please! Help 🤣😂🤣 Ash

  11. Hi All! I've just acquired an A5 cabriolet with an ancient looking something or other under the armrest which is no use for anyone. Does anyone know of a minor mod or something I can do with this space to make it useful? I have bluetooth but an iphone so no wireless charging yet. Has anyone done anything like this? I've seen someone do something similar here but it's not quite the same and not a very innovative solution: Any pointers would be great! Thank you!

  14. Hi Guys Looking for some help regarding oil leak spray on my 2010 Audi A5 1.8TFSI Engine Type CABD post PCV Valve replacement. The car was originally giving error codes P227900 Intake air system leak and P017100 Fuel Trim System too lean which looking at other forums can be due to PCV valve issues. On replacement I noticed some oil in PCV but as soon as I replaced car was noticeably smoother not hunting at all. On first drive the car had spray of oil near air filter box and line leading to it. When I removed line I noticed some oil in this and suspect it may be coming from this location . The question I have is why replacing PCV valve would cause this and is there any other oil leak points this may have generated. Ive attached Pictures. Any help would be much appreciated. Regards, Jackie

  18. Hi guys, New to this forum. Just wanted to do a quick intro and hopefully get talking/meet other audi enthusiasts. I'm the owner of an A5 3.0tdi in Daytona grey with a few subtle mods. Looking to meet up with like minded audi fans in northern Ireland.
  19. Before I start, I have an A5 Black edition 1.8 TFSI Multi-tronic FWD 2015 and before this I had the same but the S-line version 2012 so my experience comes from both these cars having the same problem. However I have read across different forums of other A5 specs with the same problem. Problem 1 being excessive wheel spin/jump whenever accelerating and I'm not talking Fast & Furious accelerating, I'm talking pulling into a roundabout, leaving a set of lights, exiting a junction and basically most normal driving scenarios that require a little pull to get going. Spoke to the Audi garage about it and they said that the torque for the 1.8 is too much for the type of car or some BS so it's "Normal" Problem 2 is either reversing or going forwards in full lock the car makes a horrible clunking sound as if the wheel is catching on the trim or jerking about the place, not a nice sound on your £40k car though! Dealer again said this is "Normal" for A5's The solution, amazingly was the tyres.... I bought both my cars brand spanking new on order so they came with tyres fitted at the factory "Pirelli's" 255/35 R19 96Y. All four tyres needed replacing so I opted for a good British tyre that was actually cheaper than the big names "Avon ZZ5" with the exact same tyre specs... problem solved! Absolutely no clunking (I've tested it a LOT) and wheel spin...whats that?? I can now actually experience a bit of the power the car has to offer when accelerating without skidding all over the place and looking like a tool! I dont know what kind of deal Audi has with Pirelli and I'm no expert but its as f the tyres are wrong type for the car?? Either that or "Avon" tyres are far superior, hopefully someone with a bit of knowledge will be able to clarify this. So there you go, having this problem... change the tyres!!! Preferably to "Avon"!!
  20. Hi all, I am looking to buy a Audi A5 2.0 tfsi soon. However I am aware of the oil consumption issues with these engines. My question is, what percentage are actually effected? Will I have a good chance of getting one that hasn’t got the oil issues? Or should I just walk away from it? the car has full service history, but has been recently done by a garage for the past few years and not Audi themselves. If it needs a rebuilt engine will Audi not pay out due to the service history? i am just looking peoples experiences with these engines to get an idea and if you had a rebuild can you please tell me what you had to provide them with? if they had the rebuild done will it be covered by Audi?
  21. Hi All, Wondering if anyone has purchased the Audi Music Interface, I want to play videos the monitor but tried on SD card and not had any luck in various formats. A few youtube videos have mentioned the Audi Music Interface cable. Has anyone tried? Or know anyone that's got the cable? Thanks Hass
  22. I'd like to come up with a neat and tidy solution for my MMI (3G HDD, joystick, jukebox etc) to iPhone 7 (lightning). There are three major points: It has to be able to transmit audio - currently, onboard Bluetooth will not so I can't get Spotify/iTunes or Google Maps (Audi Nav isn't up to scratch with current traffic info) I need to be able to see maps, so the phone can't just be plugged into AMI and be kept in the glovebox - separate cradle needed - Ideally around the passenger air vent area, see pic. It needs to be chargeable when mounted. Maybe the simplest solution is AMI>lightening but with some sort of extension to then go into a cradle? I looked into Qi but then that means a permanent charging case and still no mount/audio option. I currently have a Bluetooth to FM transmitter from my old car but signal is patchy, no charging option and still no mounting option. Please help, my head is spinning! I'd love to see what others have done and if there's a solution I can commandeer!
  23. Hello there, I have a lovely A5 cabriolet, 2.0 diesel, special edition, it has sat nav, it has two empty SD card slots, its a 2013 plate, the installed sat nav maps are now showing their age. Without spending the earth how do I up date the maps, does anyone know please? regards Les
  24. Hi, everyone! XEONZ doesn't sell A5 grills with a badge anymore, so I'm looking for a holder of some sort that I could fit onto my grill... I would really love to have my rings back! Maybe someone is going badge less and won't need that holder? Let me know! Thanks
  25. Purchased this 2 years ago, I have been and am still ridiculously happy with this car.
