  4. Most certainly does 😉
  5. Will do!
  6. Thanks Ian, but does it state that it meets VAG 504…? In case it helps anyone, VAG’s own brand - Quantum Longlife 3 is available from a number of EBay sellers at the same price. I’ve been using it for years for the now 176K A3 - wouldn’t use anything else. Kind regards, Gareth.
  7. Thanks for the above responses. I tried again to remove the sensor with the help of youtube videos. I was successful this time and was able to fit the new part myself. Fault message was removed automatically as suggested by the video and all is good. I did not have to get a diagnostic test. I understand Audi is aware of this common problem and have since modified the part. I hope this is of assistance to anyone having the same issue.
  8. Welcome Phil? - if it is Phil, could you please add this to your profile. Try LLL Parts website. Please let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
  9. Hi, Wondered if someone could help me out with a couple of part numbers. I have a 2008 2.7Tdi A5 that developed a low oil pressure fault a few months ago. I've had the upper oil pressure switch changed (the one that most garages don't want to touch) and now I need the other switch and an oil pressure control valve. I found these numbers below but they are for a CCWA engine, mine is a CCGK (I think). Lower Oil Pressure Switch- 059919081D Oil Pressure Control Valve- 059115243B Thanks.
  10. I totally agree with Gareth on this, unless you have access to a very good workshop manual. If you get it wrong broken trim can be surprisingly expensive to replace, and very ugly if you don't.
  11. I was thinking more fluxcompassador myself !
  12. Good shout Steve. I’ll look into that 👍
  13. For those who do their own servicing or just for topping up !? 5 ltr Castrol edge 5w30 LL currently £35 on Amazon with free shipping.
  14. What they said was that when the ABS sensor failed, the wiring loop got shorted... don't know what to say, I don't really trust garages/mechanics 🙂
  15. Ouch, that's made your wallet lighter. At least the ABS module wasn't bricked! Any idea how the wiring loom got fried?
  16. Hi all, 2 weeks ago I bought the said sensor and installed it myself, however, the errors remained in the dashboard. Following that, I decided to take the car to a specialist and after they diagnosed it, it was found that the RHS front ABS speed sensor was faulty. After replacing it and running another diagnosis, it was found that the wiring loop for this ABS sensor was fried as well and that required to be replaced. In the end, it cost £ 525 to fix it. I attach the invoice to show the error codes, hopefully it will help others.
  17. Fantastic result guys. Thsnks for keeping this one updated. hopefully it will help somebody in the future

  19. Hi Toby, that’s great news! It’s certainly a strange one and to be perfectly honest if my car had came into my garage I wouldn’t have gotten to the bottom of it I don’t think. I would have told my customer to take it to Audi. The only reason I persevered for so long was because it’s my own. Would have been so easy to load the parts cannon and take aim but I don’t do that if I can help it. just for future reference I’d have fixed it for you for £1500 😂 Glad I could help and hopefully more people see this post and it helps them too. take care Davie 👍
  20. Im intrigued, what switch are you adding Bob?
  21. Some might know its not particularly easy or cheap to get Apple Car Play into a 8V , A3. I successfully achieved killing two birds with one stone here ... bridged the ugly gap underneath the climate controls and have fully functioning car play in the bargain ... Ok ive lost my cup holders, which i never actually used anyway and the none slip matting is a temporary measure until the drinks holder caps arrive
