Cabriolet boot lid sensor (I think)

I have to slam the boot lid pretty hard to stop the "boot open" symbol flashing on the display so that I can open the roof.

I cannot see any obvious solution :wallbash: & would appreciated any suggestions. Other than that it's a perfect 10 year old motor.

Maybe I'm tempting fate saying that :unsure:
