hi and many thakns for allowing me to post here, much apprecaited, so my 2012 A5 coupe 2.0L diesel has stoped, gearbox gave a lot of trouble, slipping out of gear at junctions, then just stopped, so on the hund for new or recon box, one breaker has an MMV coded box, mine was the NRJ, so wondering if they are interchangable? I recal a conversation where a guy selling his A5 told me to make sure and get a particular type of box as there was a troublesome one, just wondering if anyone can please gimme some pointers!

Are you sure yours is goosed have you triec changing oil and filter.

TBH no! but when they took the gearbox out the big cirlip fell out, so really not sure where to go from there?
