Newbie A4 Cab advice

hello all, just joined the audi world again after 8 years! Previously a b6 saloon now picked up for the wifey/ (my guilty pleasure) a '05 2.5tdi cvt cab sport. So far love it, really smooth with enough power and v comfy. Half leather all electric heated, satnav with 2014 disc, bose, bluetooth etc. Was hard finding one with all these bits, plus they work still!

Couple of questions, what do you guys recommend to look out for replacement or modifications? Im already looking at the remote roof mod.

So far (only had it 2 days) fixed the glovebox damper, centre armrest and rear light cluster due to some water leaking in.

The history wasnt complete so its going in on monday for all belts, waterpump, thermostat, gearbox oil and filter plus a few generic bits n bobs.

The xenon auto light level is faulty with caption on the dash, had a look at the sensors and they seem fine. It has not been lowered. Ive cleared the fault codes but its still there. Believe need vagcom to diagnose this?

Also i cannot figure out how you open the ski shoot thing inbetween the back seats. The shoot is just floating around the boot, it appears on the boot side some door clip panel thing is missing. From the inside how do you open it???? Appears to be some sort of lever at the top but it remains locked in place.

Cheers for any help

Hi Mal, welcome

Sounds like you picked up a nice example with just a few bits to sort out. Any car of that age is going to need a few bits doing now but it sounds like your list isn't too long which is good!

Yes, VAGCOM is a good investment and should help with the xenon issue.

See page 82 of this manual reference the ski hatch:

I suspect you have a piece missing or broken if it doesn't open easily.
