UPDATE so turns out the aftermarket actuator I put on it was either faulty or not set up properly, I changed it back to the original faulty one and got the original po299 code back and got a genuine actuator fitted and fixed the issue.
  2. Hello, Managed to find aa used glove box with fridge for £80 including a CD multi changer. No wiring just take the old glove box out and find the cap from the Evaporator and remove the plug and fit the pipe. Then replace the glove box and connect the screw in pipe into the back of the glove box and hey presto I have a fridge and it works. You can regulate it as well. Just a slight problem in that my car is grey and the replacement glove box was black. However you cant see it when closed and I swapped the lid over so all good. Well worth it I think? Best regards, David👍
  3. She came out though the front just and I mean just fits with cats off and headers, she now sold had a offer I couldn't say no too, now doing a 1971 triumph stag
  4. I fitted a ram air 4weeks prior, I’ve got a new maf sensor coming tomorrow, so I’ll take it from there. Ive found out the problem out , on the egr delete kit on the back of the main part there is a blanking screw, this had loosened its self, so resulting in massive air leak, fitted a new bolt and the cars spot on now mate
  5. Re the Latvian hose order, it was confirmed as “Standard Delivery by post from outside UK, untracked”. I have thought all along that this was suspicious. I messaged the supplier via eBay yesterday, asking precisely when the hose was despatched and how much longer they think I should wait. I got a quick response (not the one I wanted!) as follows: “Thank you for contacting us! Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused. Since the item was sent without tracking options we may not file an official claim to post, unfortunately. The full amount will be refunded to your card. It may take a few business days for it to appear on your statement. If it takes longer than 5 business days, please contact your card issuer directly. Please feel free to contact us at any time in the future if you need our assistance, we will be happy to help you.” They didn’t answer my questions so I sent a further message, asking them to do so. However, in the meantime I received an email advising that a full refund was on the way and I should get it in 3/5 days. In fact 15 minutes later the money was refunded, via eBay, to my linked bank account. So I can now assume I will get no further reply from the supplier. Interestingly their relevant eBay page now states “ENDED” in red and no stock is shown; until recently it was showing 6. I suspect that, just like the London one which let me down, this is another trader showing stock that doesn’t exist and getting caught out by the recent Audi delisting of the part when they tried to order it. To save face, they probably advised it was despatched, knowing full well they would have to refund me in due course. I looked at "Viper Performance" but noted the following: “ONE OFF CUSTOM SILICONE HOSES - PRIVATE USE: One off silicone hoses and custom made silicone hoses are generally not cost effective for private clients, personal cars, classic period cars or re-making obsolete hoses. This is because stainless steel tooling is required for each hose. Tooling per hose can easily cost in excess of £350+.” I have posted a request on www.breakeryard.com to see if that produces anything. However, I suspect I have nearly reached the end of the road and the car will probably go to a charity (free collection, then auction) but perhaps not be scrapped. I’ll be glad to reach the end of this sorry saga!
  6. Definitely just sell them and start again
  7. Many thanks, everyone, for your helpful and supportive input. I contacted the Latvian supplier today and got a quick reply, which was encouraging. Based on this, positive assurances from 3 friends, who are experienced eBay users and who reviewed the Latvian option, and the garage's confirmation that I can leave the car with them for as long as it takes, I ordered the part 10 minutes ago. Fingers crossed! Thanks again.
