Hi mate, no problem at all and absolutely no need for apologies. The mats are the top of the line ones. They are good quality, come with a lifetime guarantee and are of a decent thickness. On reflection I also had them “scotchguarded” or stain proofed by them, so not sure if this treatment is what is causing the shiny aspect. I’ve maybe been spoilt in the past with the BMW and Skoda items too. Recommendation was and still is much appreciated. 👍🏼

So ordered the “Platinum Car Mats” from Carmats4U. Took about two weeks to arrive. They are decent mats, but I think they look a bit cheap when I compare them to the mats I have had previously in my F11 BMW and my last Skoda Superb. Don’t get me wrong, they’re good quality mats, but the pile of the carpet has a weird shiny sheen to it in certain light, which in my opinion makes them look a bit cheap. (And they weren’t cheap). Anyway, fit is perfect and the car looks better for them. Thanks all for the help.
  3. Just to update this thread/post, it’s now been 10 weeks and the issue has not returned since the fix of disconnecting the cluster overnight.
  4. That's what I mean....wd40 make other sprays. Use their wd40 contact cleaner, leaves no residue. It's also really good for cleaning maf sensors

Hi brake disc warp is a fact I have done loads of them, I usually run a dial gauge on the disc, some of the worst running out about forty thou usually caused by sticky calliper slides or pad runner surfaces which cause the discs to run way above their heat range therefore when they cool they don't revert back to a uniform shape, another culprit for this anomaly is sitting at a junction with your foot on the brake as the brake pads act as a heat sink so absorb heat and help dissipate the heat so if they are being held against the disc they transfer heat back in to the disc this is termed as localised hot spots which will warp a vented disc. Steve.
