Has anyone else had this problem? Easy to fix? or if not how much is it likely to cost?

Do you know roughly how much?

So tonight the airbag warning light came on and checked around and saw this wire has perished I've taped it up now but does anyone know what the wire is for and if it would make the warning light come on?
