  1. Thanks Gareth, as mentioned on the forum diagnostics highlighted the pressure switch which was easily changed, now all good with aircon working again.
  2. Thank you
  3. Air con has stopped working on my 8r Q5, only 80k mileage. Tried getting it re gassed but no join. Garage said it’s likely either the condenser or compressor needing replaced. Any one got any idea of the cost of this work. I was told the front had to come off hence an expensive repair.
  4. Do you need to take off the door card to replace the electric window switches on the drives side of a 2010 Q5, model 8r? The switch for the drivers window has stopped working, all the others are working normally. Thank you
  5. Michelin Alpine winter tyres on my E Class Merc gave me 41.5k miles on the rear, still not on wear bars when I got a puncture and decided to change them. It will be Michelin Cross Climates going on my Q5 when the tyres need changed. Same with fuel, I only use supermarket fuel when I’m stuck and notice a difference in consumption and smoothness of running. I normally use the “standard” Shell, BP or Esso, haven’t tried the premium fuel.
  6. Have a couple of Michelin Cross Climates on my Merc, estate, excellent tyres. I've run Michelin Alpines for the last 5 years, I don't bother changing them over, do about 10k/year, all with no problems. Grip well in all weather, wear well etc.
