Where is the ecu located? I also noticed that sometimes my lights on dashboard e.g. Fuel indicator flashes. What does this mean?

Every full tank I have 2 occasions of rough idle and the radiator stays on Hi, I have had my audi a6 c6 Le Mans 2.0 tdi le mans 2010 for over 2 years now. Car looks and runs beautiful but every full tank I have 2 occasions of rough idle (revs fluctuating up and down) and with that the radiator stays on for 20-30 mins after I stop the car. Also, car states on every full tank that I should get about 460 miles but I get between 320-350 miles per full 70 litres. I had changed the pressure sensor last year as I went to get air conditioning refilled and it was not picking it up and the chap told me to change it. After changing the sensor, my air con got refilled which works now and my car was giving me 400 miles per tank after the pressure sensor change, so I don't know if this has anything to do with my car issues. Also, on a recent service, I noticed some green lubricant on the condensor when I was underneath the car. Can you please recommend what I should do?

Hello, I have an audi a6 c6 2010. I have a usb cable (mini 5) coming through my dashboard. Does anyone know what it is for? Also, from my searches, I have found a female usb mini 5 to usb c adapter. If I connect my phone through the adapter cable, will I get sound through my speakers when watching e.g. YouTube? Currently I get Bluetooth connection to my phone calls but I cannot connect media unless I use a fm transmitter but the sound is not good quality. Please advise and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Kind regards

Hi guys, I have a beautiful a6 c6 Le Mans 2010 2.0tdi automatic. I have had the car for about 9 months now, had the cam belt changed when I brought the car as their was no service history, I also had the discs and pads replaced and had the big service done. Today, when I started the car and when I tried to do a 3 point turn, as soon as I put it in reverse, the car stalled and switched off, this is the first time my car has stalled. Also, when I was reversing on a hill, i realised that if I don't give any throttle, the car was sliding down the hill, again this has not happen before. Since I have had the car, the gear change is really smooth but in reverse there is a very slight delay. Any advice guys...

Hi, I had the big service done which included the air filter. Is there any recommendations on what I need to do to check if the car is running at its optimum best.

What do you recommend I do guys as I don't know. When the cam belt was replaced, could this have altered the engine to reduce mpg. I replaced the cam belt, done a big service and replaced pads and disks. It does also sound a but heavy, please advise guys.

Hi, I will check if the tyres move freely and come back to you. I had the disks replaced because they were worn, there was a lip on the outer edge of the disk. Can this issue be relevant to your concerns? The mechanic that I used, worked for a vw/audi approved garage and now has set up his own garage. He said to me that the calipers were fine. The brakes do feel absolutely fine to me. Also, Someone said to me that the engine sounds heavy who knows a bit about cars. It sounds a bit heavier since my cam belt replacement. Is there any way to find out if the engine is running at its optimum best. Thanks in advance for all your advice.

I don't think brakes are dragging, but how can I check if they are? Also, what is VCDS, as I have seen this in other posts. I live in birmingham and if there is anything you can recommend with a trusted garage, please advise.

Hi Gareth, I have contacted my local audi dealership who have stated that the engine is a cam belt. I have asked them on advice as my vehicle is giving me 20mpg-25mpg and they have said it sounds about right for local driving but to me it sounds like it is consuming too much fuel. Currently I am getting 30-35 miles to £10.

Hi Envy, I have recently purchased my vehicle and it has no service history. I have contacted audi dealership who only have record upto 2012. Is there any way possible for me to find out when it was replaced.

Hi, I have recently brought a 2010 Audi A6 Le Mans 170 diesel 2.0 tdi. The was no service history with the car so I don't know if the cam belt has been changed. The mileage is 128k, I have done the big service, replaced all pad and rear discs. The car is running smoothly but I don't know of I should replace the cam belt.
