  1. Hi I used to have the same problem, happened after the stronic oil change apparantly (as this is what the garage said) an o ring (or something on the gearbox cooler) has snapped when retightening and there was a tiny oil leak when in D and not driving (something to do with pressure) they changed it (cost £6 from Audi, again this is what they said - I didn’t pay they accepted they had messed it up...) the smell to a while to disappear but it did eventually after a few month... it could also be the DPF regen smell, or both... get I checked by the garage where you had the oil change done... hope this helps
  2. Thanks mate In the end, I didn’t want to chance it because of offset and size difference (and those expensive to fix air suspension) I sold the old set (relatively well and quickly to my surprise) and bought a new one from German ebay, so it wasn’t a big expense after all. Genuine 18 allroad alloys (like new) and 4 Dunlop winter (from 2017 with 6/7mm), besides no insurance faff as it is OEM! Highly recommend Ebay.de for wheels... (good price, wheels were packaged appropriately, ordered Sunday afternoon, delivered Tuesday afternoon) - can find Ebay shop name if needed...
  3. Thanks John76sk, I know i will use 235/55r18 - just not too sure about the offset/wheel width... Audi recommends 8x18 et 38 and the one I have are 7.5x18 et 37... hopefully it will work
  4. Hi Harvy, i used to own a a6 saloon TDI 245 sline and it was very nice indeed but a black edition would have been better for me on two points : privacy glass and Bose sound system - bling bling but hey, they just look cooler and sound better (inside) as for the engine, I never felt like I needed more... in the real world... having said that I now have a tdi 272 and yeah, it’s better... as for the bitdi, it must be quite something i’ve owned various VAG car over the years , petrol, diesel, 4,5,6 cyl, turbo, non turbo: engines were NEVER a problem... good luck
  5. Hi there, I used to own a C7 saloon and got winter wheels for it (genuine audi), now sold the car and bought a C7 allroad to replace it The allroad is currently on 255/45r19 on 8.5x19 ET43 wheels and the old winter set is 7.5x18 ET37 Does anyone know if they would fit? Audi set for alload are 7x18 ET38 for the allroad, but I had hoped they would be fine... I appreciate any help Thanks
