Electronic Handbrake Squeaking Noise
Hi the most common cause of this is people grease the backs of the pads most brake pads come with an anti squeal pad on the back of the pad its like a film of rubber which when the pads are first used bonds the pad to the surface of the calliper stopping the pad from moving, therefore if you have greased that surface they move when the pads are released and squeal. Steve.

TT MK1 Top Mount Issue
Hi its KNaCKERED, with age the rubber both sides shrinks and deteriorates, they are fairly cheap to buy and fairly easy to fit and a word to the wise do both sides as I can guarantee the other side is not far behind. Steve.

A6 C7 2013 wheel change
Hi if you measure the wheels including tyres from top to bottom and they are the same within five millimetres they should be fine, the only thing I would say is a must is have the car four wheel aligned on a Hunter machine as it will most probably have changed the camber/castor angles, please let us know how you get on. Steve.

Brake servo vacuum hose
Hi as long as the hose is armoured it should be fine, brake hose is ideal as it only expands under extreme pressure which you are never likely to get from servo air. Steve.

Audi A6 2022 Avant - Rear gate does not open
Hi its the rubber switch on the tailgate that has malfunctioned they get water in them and the con tacts corrode. Steve.

Lost power steering
Hi check the connector to the power steering motor as they are prone to corrosion on the pins, then check the wiring from the plug up as far as possible for broken wires, even if you have to remove the loom wrapping its easily replaced, genuine loom tape on eBay is pretty cheap. Steve.

Xenon headlights
Hi they will be D3s or D1s either way the best upgrade is 6000k the blue tinged ones will not give any better vision and will only attract unwanted attention from the local Garda. Steve.

Alternator pulley or tensioner
Hi unfortunately moderators have the ability to see from your account if you have viewed any replies so you can't sue him under the trade description act, furthermore if you are that short on time it beggars the thought why post?

A3 8P 2.0 TDI , won’t start
Have the car scanned for faults, my guess is low fuel pressure. Steve.

Glow Plugs
Hi it wont matter about the order there is none except if you have the one thats fatter than the rest with the knock sensor built in that definitely has to go in the same hole. Steve.

Wiper blade and arms replacement
Hi measure the arm paying close attention to the shape then measure the spindle size in he middle of the retaining nut, my bet is they are the same sizes as the aeroflat arms, then go looking they never change the arm design just the end the blade fits in to, BTW Costco do a range of Michelin wiper blades with every adapter known to man £18.00 the pair, thats what I have always used. Steve.

WANTED Audi a4 b8 2.0tdi estate
Hi the symptoms of clutch failure are simply diagnosed, take the car out get it up to temp then find a nice hill to go up and change up early so the engine is beginning to labour then slam the throttle down if the clutch is knackered the revs will rise rapidly withe no extra acceleration, I am in no doubt Audi will tell you its gone just to get the job and charge you even more money than anyone else, I have driven over a million miles in cabs and stand on me thats the best way of testing the clutch, Audi ownership is for people with deep pockets, yes they are great to drive, yes they are powerful, but you know what the parts prices dont justify the ownership, I just bought new discs and pads for My Passat and they were a bargain at £123.40 compared with the A6 which was Brembo as well at £270.80 even aftermarket its a JOKE. Steve.

E-Tron Gt Bonnet
Hi believe me when I tell you if the insulation is not there its nothing to do with noise thats why it has pressed steel inserts to stop it drumming, if you look at it logically the only real reason for insulation on the underside its to dissipate heat and stop the aforementioned heat from terminating the undercoat and causing the clear coat on top of the bonnet from peeling, basic physics are that even when cured if you heat any paint it gases and bubbles, ever watched what a heat gun does to paint. Steve.
-
E-Tron Gt Bonnet
Hi I doubt it as the insulation would only be fitted in the event it was made as a hybrid, the electrics beneath definitely dont produce the kind of heat to warrant that. Steve.

Air suspension fault
Hi the rear struts could be loosing pressure as was the case for the poster depending on the milage of your car it might be worth investing in some new units.

New car broken :( (07934 and 09127)
Hi the codes given do not register on my coding listing, therefore I can only surmise that the scanner you have is for older models or not capable of reading your car correctly I would suggest you get it scanned elsewhere or invest in a new reader OBD Eleven being about the best mid range system and not too expensive, but if you intend to keep the car it will pay for the system in record time. Steve.

New car broken :( (07934 and 09127)
Hi you omitted to tell us if its diesel or petrol the codes will mean different things for either model. Steve.

Strange Suspension Creak/Knock when pulling away and stoppi
Hi its probably what is referred to as the Dogbone link which fits from the bottom of the subframe to the engine, you have to remove the splash guard to see it, the bushes for this are mounted in the subframe the lower bush starts to split and thats where the noise comes from, the bushes are a pig of a job and require stripping the subframe out, the shame of it all is the bushes are only £20 each but the labour is horrendous, if the bushes are not to split you can always buy a Powerflex insert that fits in to the voids around the bush and make it solid again, these inserts are about £30 and easily fitted, look on YouTube for how to do it. Steve.

Handbrake fault
Hi the battery was just over three years old, parked on the flat on my local garage forecourt, filled it up with diesel, got my money out of the car, walked in and paid for the diesel, looked at the car, no one behind me so I went to the loo and when I came out the car had gone and rolled off into a wall, game over, it wasn't until I spoke to the insurance engineer that I discovered why it had done what it did and if you go on the net there are a good few others who have shared the same fate, in addition to this my wife swore I must have forgotten to put the parking brake on, so there we are putting the shopping in the back of her car when a 2014 A6 saloon rolled out of its space opposite all on its own and rammed the front of the car three spaces up from us, as the engineer said he has visited loads like this to asses damage and they know about the problem, when I bought my Passat sure enough its got an EFB battery which you can fit and code to any Audi. Steve.

Handbrake fault
Hi thats how I lost my car, the AGM batteries cause all sorts of problems, in my case the discs and pads were new and the battery decided to have a voltage drop and released the parking brake, according to the engineer we get loads of cars like yours and thats why anything post 2020 has an EFB battery they tend to not have these sort of problems, might be your battery h is not producing enough power to operate the release, wreathe pads free enough? Steve.
