Hi all - I’ve come back to the car in varying weather conditions from thunder and lightning to red hot sunshine to find the pano roof sunshade not in the position I left it in. I usually leave it half back so I’ve got lots of natural light in the car, but it seems to have the ability to close itself at will. Never opens further - just closes. im thinking there may be some relationship between the camera on the screen and the sunshade. Is thisthe case ? Do they auto close during certain weather ? I can’t find any guidance in the owners manual.

How right you are. Went in 6 weeks ago and ordered 4 x Goodyear Vector 4 season tyres. £700. Delay after delay means they’re not here yet, and the tyre chap tells me they’ve gone up ….. I did fancy the Michelin Crossclimate but they were £800 for a set, they’re still that price but the Goodyears are now only £1 cheaper, and they’re still a fortnight away. So Michelins it will be in the next two weeks.

I think I’ll make do with the Audi satnav. No more cash - new tyres next week. £700

Thanks for the help but I’m afraid it’s still a NO. phone is already paired with car, and I follow all instructions in video. My MMI screen doesn’t look like the one shown in the video for starters - and when I get to the ‘hold voice control’ button to start CarPlay it just seems my phone cannot find any cars that are CarPlay equipped nearby. I can only presume my 2018 registered car has not had whatever upgrades required for it to utilise car play. Spotify works perfectly via Bluetooth, really frustrating not to be able to get WAZE up on the screen as my default satnav. If anyone has any other ideas please let me know. Could it be I need a data dongle thingy I see on some YouTube videos ?

Hi all - I’m confused and hope you can help. My 2018 A6 Allroad doesn’t seem to have a USB port anywhere. Therefore Apple car play cant work - is that correct ? I use Spotify via phone wirelessly through the MMI so why cant I get the Apple car play that way ? I'm more interested in making WAZE work as my default sat nav. Your advice would be most helpful.

Thank you - that’s really helpful. Two vehicles in the family last week threw up fault codes relating to DPF. One (Jaguar ePace) has been dealt with under warranty but my Audi awaits further investigation into exactly which exhaust sensor it is. I’m now just waiting an update on £££ from garage. Needless to say TPS will be called first !!

Thanks for the tip off. I understand if there’s a DPF issue you advise not going EUROPARTS and you mention someone called TPS ? Who are they and are they well regarded ? My mate told me of CATMAN as well. Id appreciate any recommendations or experiences.

Hi all - as the engine in my A6allroad is the same 3 litre V6 used by VW and Porsche, I’m presuming there’s a difference in price for parts. Does anyone know which parts can only be ORIGINAL AUDI ? For instance is the DPF filter available from say Eurocarparts or some other supplier ? Or EGR valve etc. Just thinking for the future here hoping I can make some savings somewhere on service items etc.

I’ve got the pull-up blind, but that still won’t stop the new pup eating the interior hence a crate.

Hi does anyone have any recommendations for a decent dog crate that fits nicely into the rear of an A6 Avant. I don’t mind if it’s one that’s split in two, or just a single crate that uses most of the space and is big enough for two Labrador dogs. many thanks.

I’m into owning my A6 Allroad for the long term. So with that in mind, has anyone got any experience of using good quality magnetic sump/gearbox/differential oil plugs ? I’ve done this before on a long term Volvo V50 D5 and it made large mileage with no engine or gearbox issues. If anyone has done this before please let me know which magnetic plugs it was. Thanks.

Members - my 2018 A6 Allroad on occasion when I start it tells me the STOP/START SYSTEM UNAVAILABLE - SYSTEM FAULT or an ESP fault. This is not every time, but on occasion. Does this require a visit to the dealers ? The car is under warranty so it’s not going to cost, but I’m wondering if it’s a symptom of another issue like the battery beginning to fail. Any thoughts from yourselves ?

Hi Gareth and thanks for your reply. The reason is simple. I had a Ford Kuga AWD which in its OEM Hankooks struggled on wet grass. Once I fitted Goodyear Vector 4 seasons it was transformed. I do spend time on field edges and muddy tracks in my Allroad hence the question. I’m just looking to maximise its adaptability. A set of slightly more aggressive treaded tyres may be better - they may be a waste. Hence why I turned to his forum for advice before spending.

Can anyone tell me if they’ve fitted all season tyres to their Allroad ? If so what were the results like - and which tyres did you go for. 255/45x19 seems an awkward size for tyres. Your help and advice is appreciated!
