  1. Hi all, can anyone recommend a good audi mechanic in Kent /South East London. Many thanks
  2. Thanks Gareth for them words of wisdom, I shall do just that and have a look for an independent garage to check it out and get a report to forward on to the trader. Thanks again
  3. Sorry I got the wrong jist of what you meant, no I didn't take the individual wheels off and check, just checked the makes and even treads on each tyre.. About 6mm.the trouble is I'm not that mechanically minded unfortunately lol. Which makes it more frustrating and being Easter weekend no where is open in order to get it checked out and haven't got too much time left if I am backing the car.. Really need to find out whether the dealer knew of this problem? When I rang him he said he personally knew the previous owner that had the car since new and he said that there wasn't anything wrong when he sold dealer the car. I haven't got back to him today as was hoping that someone can shed some light.. Like I said b4.. Car drove fine up to about 60 then shuddered and really struggling to go past 70. I held the stearing tighter just to see if it would pick up but seemed to be maxed out. I'm sorry for not being helpful, maybe someone could point me in direction of decent audi mechanic and not a rip off audi garage in kent
  4. Checked all tyres and they are all good and same make, but this would not stop the car going over I'd say about 3000 revs and 75 mile an hour, I did automatically think about balancing, but that wouldn't stop it going over a certain revs and speed or would it? Thanks steve
  5. Thanks for your swift response, I haven't had the chance to try anything as I only bought the car yesterday, and drove well on test drive, although there was no where I could open up, and where I bought it was 80 miles away. So had a good chance to get the feel, so as you can imagine, went into panic mode when this happened. I looked it up when I got back after phoning the trader, and found so many people with same problem on all audis, no one gave a difenfinate answer though. Seemed to be swaying towards inner cv, drive train.. Whatever that means? Dealer is playing dumb now, so be great to have some ammunition if it is a more serious problem, to get my money back. Shame as its a lovely car to drive until reaching 60 plus
  6. Hi guy, just picked up my 2007 sline 2.0 tdi and on the way back home decided to give it a bit of acceleration on a motorway, but as soon as I put my foot down, I reached 60 and car started shuddering and got worse by 70..rang the guy and he said it has never happened b4, (he would say it). Can anyone give me some advise as I want to know which direction to take?. Thanks
