  1. You were right Lloyd, there is a difference to the seatbelt cover on my c6. Whereas yours has a rounded edge on the seat side, mine has a lip which fits under the rear shelf. There’s minimum flex in the cover and I was unable to pry the lip out and hopefully pop out the rest of the cover without damaging or breaking it. Looks like the only way to get at the buzzer is remove part of boot lining, parcel shelf etc.. Too big a job for me I think. Only consolation is the buzzer is still working in a fashion, i.e volume reduces to almost nothing the longer I’m reversing. I appreciate your advice mate. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for your suggestion Steve. Car is having new front discs fitted mid January prior to MOT. I’ll get my mechanic to run a full diagnostic at the same time. 👍
  3. It’s a 2007 A6 saloon 3.0 TDI Quattro ? Unsure about c6 / c7 ? Apologies for my ignorance ! Just checked, it is a c6. Seatbelt cover looks very similar to your pic. 🤞🤞
  4. Hi Lloydj , did you need to remove seatbelt bolster as well as seatbelt cover ?
  5. I’ve recently noticed this issue on journeys over an hour or so. Regardless of the time of year, whatever temperature I choose, the passenger vents begin to blow really hot as does the windscreen vent ? The drivers vents blow to the set temperature. I have sync’d the drivers vent and passenger settings to no avail. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. 👍👍
  6. My Audi A6 2007 has just developed this fault. In the process of ordering a buzzer from eBay ( £6 ish ). I’ll update the forum when I have a go at it. 👍
  7. Hi guys, noticed this issue a few times now mainly on trips of over an hour. Whatever setting I have the heat or air con set to the passenger vents will blow really hot air while drivers side is blowing the correct temp. Windscreen blower will be really hot too. I have sync’d the driver/passenger controls to no avail. Any ideas/ advice appreciated.
  8. Final update on the post guys. Pirelli’s fitted Saturday 06/01/24. Tracking done 08/01/24 locally and original price for x4 wheel alignment was £70. On the day it turned out rear wheel alignment was ok so only front wheels needed doing for £35 ! I can definitely say the handling and ride is better with the new tyres and also quieter. Total cost in the end for x4 Pirelli Powergys and tracking = £450. 😎😎😎
  9. Update on the tyre situation. National Tyres doing a 20% off 4 tyres on certain brands ( Avon, Bridgestone, Pirelli and Autogreen ). 4 x Pirelli Powergy 225/50/17/98Y original price = £503 plus £12 tyre disposal so £515. Got them for £415 with the discount and mobile fitting on my drive is FREE ! Booked in for 4 wheel alignment at a local garage the day after fitting for £70. 4 x premium tyres and alignment £485 in total. I’m well happy with that. Thanks for all your comments guys they were very helpful. Have a great new year everyone ! Best wishes , Gaz.
  10. Yeah Joe you’re right. Got no major trips planned over the winter. Retired now so not even clocking 3k miles per year. 1st sign of a tyre bargain , I’m on it. Gaz.
  11. Thanks Gareth, I’ll keep you posted. Gaz.
  12. Gonna keep my eyes open and keep looking out for deals over Christmas and new year. MOT due end of February so I’ll need them before that. Rear offside is borderline and 2 fronts wearing on insides so tracking will need to be done when 4 new tyres are fitted. Thanks again guys.👍
  13. Many thanks to both Ukwide and Magnet. Confirmed what I already knew, pay cheap and get cheap. Gonna stick with the premium brands. Appreciate the replies. Thanks guys.👍

Need some new tyres for my 2007 A6 Quattro. I was under the impression that premium tyres were necessary but will I get away with mid range tyres as long as the speed rating is compatible ( 98Y ) ?
