I haven’t noticed whether it displays the N symbol but it does Rev up like that.don’t really even want to try it again!!! thanks for the reply Dave any feedback would be really great cheers Karl

Hi Dave yeah triptronic works perfect (paddles) doesn’t do it . Yeah it’s like it slips into neutral then thuds back into gear only when I put my foot right down

Hi Gareth . no no I don’t drive foot to the floor but I done it to get a feel for the car on an open road and that’s when it happened. I drive sensible believe me! I didn’t know I had a mandatory 30 days return? im having it checked out by an Audi specialist this week and I’m in constant dialogue with the dealer so will let you know the outcome!

http://The mad thing is if you don’t club your foot down or use the paddle gears it drives like a dream but I’m not overly mechanic savvy so it may be wishful thinking !!

Hi Gareth thanks for taking time out to read my thread. yeah I took it for a test drive it drove nothing short of superb. so on the day after he m o t the car I went to collect ,went over the car again all seemed great. payed,insured and taxed ,off I went ,got on to the motorway floored it down on the pedal and it slipped into neutral for a split second then knocked back into gear .it was late in the day by the time I got away .so he had gone! Phoned him and he said “don’t understand why it’s doing that it hasn’t before” so he said get transmission service done i.e fluids etc…then ring him back . Regarding haggling on price he wouldn’t budge a lot and to look at it’s really clean and by eye looks like it’s been looked after . I didn’t get any warranty probably over excited getting it after 4 long weeks trying to find the best one.I don’t know where I stand

Well dealer refusing to take it back , my own fault not getting proper warranty! got over excited and paying the consequences,hopefully with a miracle it’s not going to cost me my life to get my dream car sorted😞

Could it be low transmission oil? it only does it when you put your foot right down? Otherwise it glides along nicely

Finally got my Q7 today was beaming with joy got halfway home thought I’d give it a little boot and all of a sudden it slipped out a gear ripped right up then slipped back into gear making a horrible noise. When I took it for a test drive it didn’t do it now wondering what the hell is wrong with it. absolutely gutted I’m praying it’s something minor but it’s been a long time since I’ve had an Audi so not sure any obvious ideas? thanks guys😞

Steve thank you so much for your input would you say the lower mileage car with no service history is safer buy than the other one I may get that has 110000 and service history?

hi guys, just joined on here because I thought tomorrow was the day I finally got my Q7!!! 4 long weeks I have been looking for the right one in my budget but the dealer now messing me around with broken promises. so started looking again today and found one 2007 Q7 with 84000 on the clock . never thought I would get one that low on mileage (BUT!) the dealer says it has no service history at all.He says he thinks it’s genuinely been lost,I don’t know what to do I know it’s always a gamble but my head is shot with the amount of Q7s I have seen recently .Havd found ones with 140000 and loads of history some with less miles and less history . have worked flat out for nearly a year to save for my dream car and it’s turning into a nightmare! just wondered if you guys who have some wisdom could give me have any advice I would be so grateful

Hi guys just joined today!! hello everyone 😄 picking up my first ever 2007 q7!!! Had a test drive this week and it drove superb but I’m just panicking about the timing chain and wether I will get warnings before it needs replacing as I have heard lots of horror stories!!! any help would be much appreciated
