  1. I've done 8k in mine siince I bought it and have had to put 30litres in it. Every time I have filled it up I have just filled it up until no more goes in.

I would have thought if it's critical not to over fill it there would be a mechanism to stop it. Never read the manual on it though 🤣

  2. It's an engine out job to change, with the costs that  come with that.  When I had mine done it was a guide which had broken,  horrible clattering noise when the engine was under load but only for the first minute or so when starting the car from cold, also couldn't bear it with the windows up.  My chain had stretched as well but I believe it throws up a timing error if it stretches beyond a certain amount which mine hadnt.

Change the oil every 10k not 18 supposedly helps the lifespan of them.  There is no recommended mileage to change the chain/guides,  it's not the same as a timing belt in that respect.

  3. Hiya,

I would hold out for a car with the tech pack, you'll get a better screen amongst other things.

I'm not sure about answering your question for a non tech pack car but for the tech pack it has a hard drive you can import from SD card, USB or cd. You can play direct from those too.

Ps from 2015 there was a facelift which has a better display in the clocks amongst a few other bits. Check out black editions as they look the nicest IMHO,  I ended up with a 2015 allroad as they were a tad cheaper than the black editions so I could get a facelift.

Yes you can send an address to the car from the app

I'd have loved a bitdi but couldn't afford one, the others might feel slow compared to your current car

  4. It's a known common problem, have a search on the net you will find some videos or forum posts on it.

From memory you will need to replace the plastic inner part, as the solenoid? packs in and its fixed to plastic but. it's not that expensive and looks like a doable diy job.

To get in at the moment you could try pressing the cap as you unlock the car if that doesn't work then prying it open is the way, obviously being careful with the paint work.

If you can't find a link I'll have a look when I get home later.

  5. I had mine done six months ago on a 2015 car, an independent did it but it was still nearly a £4k bill, luckily for me it was under warranty.

Not much help to you other than an idea of the cost.

  6. Have you got the pullup mash that goes from the back seat and pulls up to fasten to the roof?

Or is a proper crate you are after?

I'm thinking about either or at the moment for our new dog, so I'll keep an eye on this.

That looks a decent one albeit pricey.
