  1. Hello mate, Can you PM your number and I will give you a call Sunday and arrange something.
  2. No idea mate, but if you know the reg you could contact your local Audi dealership and ask them.
  3. Nice cars, I have had 6 A3's, all bar one have been diesels. Same with any car, look for a service history and listen for whistles from the turbo and any obvious accident damage. Check when the timing belt was changed as this isn't cheap but very important. Also look at tyre wear, is it even?
  4. I need to be back home at 6 mate! I am off all day Monday if any good?
  5. Sorry mate, I am at a VW show this coming weekend but I may be free for a couple of hours on Friday afternoon if you are around?
  6. Indeed there are a few options your car could have came with. Why don't you ring Audi with your reg and ask them, they are usually really useful.
  7. Your S-line came from the factory with sports suspension as standard (as does my A4). Why not look at changing all the springs using Eibach or another quality make? Eibach do the Pro Kit which can be used with the standard shocks and is top quality kit! It will lower your car by about 20mm and costs around £220. In real terms it will only lower by about 10mm as your car is lower than a non Sport/S-line by about 10mm.
  8. Did you buy it? Only just joined on here, hence the late reply! I have had my 06 plate 3.0TDI quattro S-line cabriolet for 8 years and loved every minute of owning it! All Audis are well built and usually bombproof if they have been serviced when their supposed to and not messed around with. The bodywork is galvinised so should not rust unless it has been crashed and badly repaired in the past. The 2.4l engine is known to be thirstier than a 2.0 petrol but to be fair what's a couple of MPG, and with an auto box unlikely it has been thrashed. A nice engine for the motorway.
  9. As stated, I have a brand new early Ur-Quattro/Coupe main beam headlight. Part number 857941653, take a look at the attached pictures Looking at £30 ovno plus about £3 for posting or can be collected from Harlow, Essex.
  10. Hello mate, I'm in Central London so not too far away. I know a good few places around the London/Essex area that are VAG specialists as well as a trimmer who is top notch and inexpensive! When do you plan to start the big rebuild? I'm not free next weekend but the following weekend I may have some time, would love to come and take a look at the car and share my 30 years experience of VAG cars. Let me know. Ian
  11. Is that a rare as hens teeth 5 cylinder 80 quattro, before they became the 90? It does look well spec'd up, Ronal alloys are my all time favourite wheels, timeless classics. Apart from a bit of paint it doesn't look too bad at all, bodykit as well as per sport model! What is the interior like? Where are you based? Always happy to help people out when and where I can, mind I am not a bodywork person.
  12. Joined today, been meaning to join for years! I'm Ian, live in central London, and drive a 2006 A4 3.0 TDI quattro S-Line, had it since I bought it as a 4 month old demonstrator with a couple of thousand miles on the clock. It is the longest I have ever owned a car but to be fair it is fully loaded and with a superb engine and tiptronic gearbox, what could I change it for????? I have owned a total of 44 VW's and Audis over the last 30 years, so you could say that I am addicted! I also own 2 MK2 VW Sciroccos, which are great little cars and cost nothing to run and maintain. I do attend many shows around the country so you may bump into me at some stage.
