  1. Hi. I have a 2012 a3 cabriolet and the carpet/shelf behind the rear head rests has come away. I've tried to get behind the head rests to be able to attatch it back into the runner but it seems to be a thankless task. Is there an easier way to access this and secure it properly. Many thanks C
  2. Thankyou for the offer, at least I know where to come. The clutch comes with a 2 year warranty and I know the guy I use would do the right thing
  3. I have no idea lol I just leave the car with him and he does the rest (I trust him implicitly with my cars)
  4. Hi, sorry for the late update. The clutch has definitely gone and is now with the mechanic to have a new one fitted
  5. The bite point is almost at the top
  6. The speedo revs towards the red with no increase in speed. It's a normal 6 speed gear box. I'll try doing the 4th gear test and will let you know
  7. The rev counter goes up but the speed doesn't. The speed display on the dash jumps about and doesn't seem to know what gear it's in.
  8. Sorry, it's 6 speed manual
  9. My car has started to over rev when Im trying to accelerate up any incline. The display starts showing lower gears and jumps about. Looking online it seems to be the gearbox ecu but thought I'd ask you lovely people in my phone Regards
  10. I conceded defeat. Just have to unplug the phone holder/charger from the socket 😢
  11. He just advised to get it checked when I take it into my usual mechanic. I don't like to bother the man too much when he's at home
  12. I'd be terrified that I'd mess that up.
  13. I'm always worried about the battery consumption when my phone charger is plugged in. I know I can always unplug it, but there's times I forget, especially when I get home late.from work
  14. My neighbour, who's a mechanic, thinks I have a tiny fuel leak in the common rail switch in my 2012 a3. I tend to get a smell.of fuel when I start the car up, and it's quite noticeable when I've come off the motorway. Is this a fix I can do, or is it a job for a mechanic?
