  1. Hi Has anyone booked there Audi 8 6L in for a cambelt change? Cost and time? I know it’s an engine out job and roughly 30 hours (?) Thanks Marty
  2. Think I know the answer to this, it’s locked - anti theft eject button is disabled. Is there a way to enable it without taking it to a dealer? marty
  3. Is there a knack of ejecting the navigation dvd, alas there is no pin hole to manually to do this like on old pc dvd drives (?) Tried with ignition on/off, navigation on/off. Anything else to try? thanks in advance marty
  4. Interesting, does that mean rear brake pad sensors don’t exist or just not connected to MiL
  5. Well brake pads are being replaced, front and back. Discs are good and the pad indicator wasn’t over zealous. Good even wear throughout. Sub £300. Obviously betters Audi but this local brakes and discs only garage beat another local general garage. Every saving helps. Marty
  6. Cheers, no indication whether they are front or rear, ? Need to be replaced in pairs, or does it makes sense whole set front and back? Costs?
  7. Can anyone recommend a good quality audio solution to allow Bluetooth audio streaming from my iPhone? Ideally, using av1/av2 and keeping the CD changer. TIA Marty
  8. Check brake pads - MIL notification Out of interest what is this notification level set at? 70% wear?
  9. Well managed to reset MiL treated the car to a second bottle of cataclean. will see how long it will last before MIL appears. 🤞
  10. Sadly ECS reappeared. This time will make a note of the fault before resetting. electro magnetic handbrake resolved itself without any reset. Don’t seem to be able to clear this but I may need to drill in to engine/module 2 to check for faults and clear them if at all possible. Then try a second bottle of cataclean
  11. Sadly ECS reappeared. This time will make a note of the fault before resetting. electro magnetic handbrake resolved itself without any reset.
  12. Picked up code reader and cleared fault. Will now wait and see if CATACLEAN has a positive effect and/or if ECS warning reappears.
  13. Well treated car to cataclean. Waiting for a new obd reader to reset the Ecs to see if it remains off. Fingers crossed 🤞 if it returns then I’m guessing it sensor replacement time. Marty
  14. Will do and will clear the Ecs one again, to see if the cataclean improves the sensitivity of sensor. If ECS returns may have to replace sensor bank 3 was the last report.
