  1. Can anyone recommend a garage in the Oxfordshire/Swindon area that can service a w12 engine. My local mechanic that had previously worked on 12 cylinders has sadly left his place of work. I don’t think the current team have done their apprenticeships on anything larger than 6, let alone 8 cylinder engines. The same can probably be said said of Audi garages, so I guess I’m looking for someone /business who is enthusiastic about W12 engines and prepared for its annoying quirks that are often NOT in the manual.
  2. Interesting, does each wheel have a sensor and battery?
  3. Hi cliff yes i know how to reset the tpms. What’s failing is that it seems to register inconsistent pressure on the front tyres, both set at 2.6 bar but TPMS is reading way above this.
  4. Hi TPMS seems to have got itself stuck with the front tyres, inflated to 2.6 bar but the TPMS is registering 2.7 O/S AND 3.8 N/S. It does change so it’s not "stuck" but the baseline seems to have gone awry. it’s a recent problem since the hot weather (coincidence?) Initialising the system doesn’t seem to correct it. The rear tyres register fine at 2.4 bar. It’s just an annoyance with the ‘beep’. Is there a sensor in each wheel that needs replacing ? Thinking just wait and see until normal weather returns. anyone experienced this before with their TPMS? Marty
  5. Finally managed to get the suspension looked at, not yet perfect but had the lower suspension parts replaced. The knock has gone. May need the upper arms (?) replaced. The improved situation does vary depending on what mode the suspension is on. Interestingly Dynamic setting gives the least creaks compared to Auto & Comfort settings
  6. Hi, When driving over traffic calming bumps the suspension squeaks and squelches. Am I right this is from the perishable parts like bushes that are basically 19 years old? In warmer weather it’s less pronounced. Anyone have experience of this?
  7. Has anyone found a good source / uk supplier for replacing A8 D3 headlamp lenses? Not sure if I trust myself with Headlight restoration kits.
  8. Has anyone installed these on their D3? wondering how easy it is to wire in, power and their activation . E.g reverse light being lit. Unsure how front camera is activated ?
  9. Just seen Mr12 volt p600 install from last year. Will try this out. Half the price of the full install using the CarPlay features.
  10. Has anyone been able to update their Bluetooth connection in their W12 D3 2005 to BT Audio? Std Bluetooth is fine sadly don’t have Aux input for audio input Currently using CarPlay via FM Transmitter which is okay. A cheaper alternative to the fully wired in Mr 12volt option
  11. Hi Has anyone booked there Audi 8 6L in for a cambelt change? Cost and time? I know it’s an engine out job and roughly 30 hours (?) Thanks Marty
  12. Think I know the answer to this, it’s locked - anti theft eject button is disabled. Is there a way to enable it without taking it to a dealer? marty
  13. Is there a knack of ejecting the navigation dvd, alas there is no pin hole to manually to do this like on old pc dvd drives (?) Tried with ignition on/off, navigation on/off. Anything else to try? thanks in advance marty
  14. Standard FM radio, no DAB.
  15. Interesting, does that mean rear brake pad sensors don’t exist or just not connected to MiL
