No it means you have about 20% left on the linings, beyond that the piston travel is likely to seize out. Steve.
cursor-delta0g
Cheers, no indication whether they are front or rear, ? Need to be replaced in pairs, or does it makes sense whole set front and back? Costs?

Hi no visually check the pads, if the backing plate is about 4mm from the discs they are knackered, there are loads of options on eBay as long as they are marked E11/E9 they are O.E. standard, its worth paying the extra couple of quid for the ones that come with the wear sensor. cursor-delta0g
Well brake pads are being replaced, front and back. Discs are good and the pad indicator wasn’t over zealous. Good even wear throughout. Sub £300. Obviously betters Audi but this local brakes and discs only garage beat another local general garage. Every saving helps. Steve Q
Just to add, regarding the brake pad warning light. It only applies to the front as the front only has the wear sensor.
cursor-delta0g
Interesting, does that mean rear brake pad sensors don’t exist or just not connected to MiL
