  1. Hi thanks for the update I'm taking it Tuesday...let's see what happens Dabt
  2. Hi we'll only option as my old j197 module was giving wrong info to compressor and height settings so I go a new one and there's no more fault showing with that but I need a software update for the whole car Hi Spartacus The car has had spurious faults for weeks suggesting the car had leaks or the level height controllers were incorrect at the rear. The fault showed up as the leveling module in the boot and that was changed a d some of the symptoms disappeared but the fact remains some of the software originally in the car isn't there anymore so it needs to A recognise the new level sensors B have the base software added for communiition between other modules as the cars original software was set to standard which didn't help at all Dan

  4. Not yet doesn't look too bad for them just a refresh I think as some modules are back to factory setting
  5. Dear all as the title suggests my car has been plagued with spurious faults with compressor being told to over run and sides dropping for no reason without leaks. In the end traced it to the j197 module which controls the height etc but I now need a new software installation and the old software isn't compatible.. Who or how is this possible to fix and also my mmi screen does not allow and suspension setting as the bars are red outlined but blank in the middles.? It has new rear sensors and new compressor and tow new rear air springs. Many thanks nice car but becoming unreliable. Regards Dan
  6. Can an Autell reader device fix this or is it Audi only?
  7. Hi all I was wondering where to go for a total software update as my car has had new rear level sensors and are not communicating with the rest of the cars module J197... Recently faults suggested a problem with this module and also I cannot select the height at all as it's now blank and also the wheel lock icon has disappeared. Any ideas how easy it would be to fix problem as it's not driveable and need it the be returned to normal. It looks as if the software has been deleted or some of it has. Regards Dan
  8. Thanks Gareth Audi parts did say they have some tape that i can try..I'll pop over there later ..my brother works on car bodywork repairs and mentioned maybe using a bond if it fails again but id rather use the tape ...I'll let you know how it goes..cars getting older now..already changed the compressor and air bag ..the actual relay sent with the new compressor was terrible. Also need to change one of the rear shock cover/bump stops. That cant be too difficult..
  9. Thanks yes I've used 3 m but I think it was too thick IE 2 mm and it needs to be thinner hard to locate a thinner tape. The moulding sits 1 mm proud for diesel to drip into.
  10. Spoke to them they don't have it..part being sent over from Germany.
  11. Dear all Need some info. Twice now I've used some double sided waterproof tape for the offside rear arch moulding on my allroad but still sits too proud with 2mm thickness and comes away slightly below the filler cap and want to know where I can buy maybe thickness of 1mm for the tape. Also I bought a rear wiper motor from Germany but the kit is missing the 4 wire harness oval to straight edged press connectors and was wondering where to get one in the UK? Car is a 2013 audi allroad Thanks Dan
  12. Check around where the pipe goes Into the air bag also at either side.
  13. Have you checked the bags on the rear for a leak? Could be just one of them
  14. Glad to ask any question you may have.
  15. it could be the return pipe to the compressor has come off but you would need to take a look.
  16. The compressor was at fault with no other real leaks apart from a union on a rear air bag
  17. Hi there yes my car works fine now..a few times a sporadic front level sensor but that's it.
  18. The actual pump is covered by a moulded shroud just behind the spare wheel carrier underneath the car.
  19. Be aware the pump is controlled by an orange 40a fuse it's in a bank of 4 to the right of the relay...check theses as one may be blown...you may be fortunate it may be a knackered relay .
  20. Yes ...in the boot on your right ..if you remove the shrouding /netting with a flat blade or even a two pence twist it 90 degrees and it pulls out. The holding plastic screw is up on the top ..inside above the netting .. if you feel for it you'll find the securing screw .
  21. Use a good jack to gain good height access and obviously a few axle stands...take your time it's relatively straight forward...change the relay aswell in the rear right arch area... One comes with the pump but it looks a poor copy...audio main dealers sell them.
  22. Pump bought from aerosus Germany...arrived in 3 days...
