  1. Kind of got them good so far - I called them, the technician says the light was on when he pulled the car into the garage tuesday, but that means it wasn't there Monday and they have to acknowledge that. So, I said that and they've went full bull and said it was there Monday too. So im wondering do they have a duty to inform me of that considering they ran a diagnosis for the ABS dashboard light on the Monday?
  2. Garage ran diagnostic on my ABS dashboard light - do they have a duty to inform me of steering wheel light? I brought the car in on monday for diagnosis, drove it home and then brought it back in Tuesday for repair. They text me monday to advise of the faults they had found and what will be needed to replace it - but no mention of steering wheel light (because it wasn't there) They've done something to the vehicle and now trying to cover their tracks saying it was there Monday also not just the Tuesday (going back on what they said first). So I'm wondering would they have a duty to inform me of that after running the diagnosis? Thanks for any responses you've already helped me a bunch, I think I'll stick around on this forum Ian
  3. Orite mate, thanks for the reply. I wasnt clear in my last post - Kwikfit did mot and refused the retest. Vasstech VAG fixed problems and then left it with steering wheel light on - said it was there before I brought it in, it wasnt, and then said it's going to be steering wheel rack replacement £1290. I wouldn't hv it. Then manager called back and said they'd look into it for free as goodwill. Then went back on it and said def would be sensor on steering wheel rack - so needs full replacement. Super suspicious
  4. No mate, they said steering wheel light on dashboard means its a major fail so not worth doing Ian
  5. Aye there is, I've already got one in mind. Appreciate the advice mate, i'm eager to learn now so I can keep myself right. Fed up, always the same ball ox. Its an Audi A3 sportback 2006 so I think its conventional - definetely going to give the independent a call tomorrow. Cheers. Ian
  6. Appreciate the reply mate - think they've done me over well and truly
  7. So I failed my MOT recently due to: Anti-lock braking system warning lamp indicates an ABS faultStop lamp(s) not working NearsideWheel bearing rough when rotated Offside Front Kwik fit couldn't sort that so took it to Audi specialist who sorted it by replacing OSF ABS sensor and wheel bearing BUT the steering wheel light is now on (see picture) so I can't pass MOT. They said its steering wheel rack needs to be replaced and thats £1290. I said obviously, that wasn't on when I brought it in so you've done something. First they tried to say it was on when I brought it in (ball ox) - when I refused to accept it - they've said its a sensor on the steering rack thats led to the light but nothing they've done. Can someone please shed a light on this? Any advice is appreciated as I want to get back at them and take it as far as I can
