  1. Hey @Steve Q thanks for the response. Turns out it was because the car was on Axel stands and all four wheels have to be turning or the ESP "thinks" you are in a skid. I put all the wheels back on, dropped it on the ground and it hasn't happened since 👍
  2. Hi, I have an 2011 A1 that was bought as a Cat S due to front passenger wish bone and wing damage. I replaced those parts and while at it i also replaced all brake discs, calipers and pads all round. I had to also replace the rear passenger disk plate as it fell apart when i replaced the caliper. When doing this i damaged the speed sensor so have also replaced that. Now when testing the drive ( car is all up on axle stands ) the Electronic Stability Problem ( ESP ) light comes on and restricts the revs. I'm presuming its an ABS / Speed sensor issue. The front passenger brake pad ( inside one ) also has a wire from the brake pad which i have no idea where it plugs into ( maybe its for a different model ) so have left it for now. Any idea's on where / how to work out whats wrong. I'm presuming it has to be something to do with the front wheels as they are the only ones moving

Hi, I have just replaced the front brake calipers on my A1 and the banjo bolts are worn and i just cant get them tight enough to seal ( I have replace the copper washers ) as they are very slightly weeping. 11mm spanner is to loose, 10mm to small and nothing imperial fits either 😤 For the life of me i cant find spares on the web, lots for A3's and various ones listed by size. Can anyone provide me either either a part number or the dimensions so i can get a new pair ordered
  4. Based on all the other bolts I have removed I would 100% agree Gareth, any idea on how to remove the hub though
  5. Thanks @Stevey Y, that's what i thought originally but i have the disk and caliper removed at the moment. I can see the mounting bolts for the plate behind the hub and they seem pretty long as you can see the back of them. The gap between the hub and bolt head is to small to remove the bolt completely so no idea how you would get them out. Only thing i can think of is as you undo the bolts the hub becomes loose and you have to undo each bolt as much as possible so you can pull the hub forward and then undo the bolts further. Seems like a lot of work just to replace a dust plate? I have attached a photo to show you, the caliper is just loosely attached at the moment so it doesn't hang off the pipes. I also pulled the dust plate off so i coudl see further as it was rusted through anyway.
  6. Hi, I have just replaced the rear brake disks and pads on my 2011 1.4 TFSi A1 and noticed the rear dust plate on the NS is loose and rattling around. I have ordered a replacement but for the life of me can't work out how to replace it, i'm presuming the wheel hub has to come off ?? Can anyone give me some pointers, if the wheel hub does have to come off how do you do that as it doesant seem obvious. Thanks
