  1. I agree, I had an A5 2.7tdi auto (2009). It had done 160K at the time I gave it to my son. I bought it at 98K. I don't believe the oil in the gearbox has ever been changed and it is absolutely fine thus far. So, I am often a believer that if it isn't broken don't fix it. Obviously not always the case on things like engine oil. I also understand it is quite a big job and not straightforward.
  2. Hi, I recently purchased an A5 Sportback, it was underpriced and I am starting to find out why now and rectifying as I go. My main concern though is that I have found out from my local garage who was checking the turbo for me (one of the things I was worried about) it has a DPF delete (I think from Darkside Developments). They have informed me it will not pass an MOT like this and they would definitely fail it if I took it back there. I live in the Lancaster area, has anyone had this issue previously and any suggestions on getting it through an MOT? I really don't want to have to put a DPF back in. I have to say this 3.0 drives great and is significantly faster than the A5 coupe 2.7 I had previously, so it has probably been mapped as well. any help or advice is much appreciated.
