  1. Hi Tony Could you hear a different sound level when steering right or left , I can't seem to hear a difference when steering , it's a continuous god awful humming .
  2. Thanks Gareth Any other ideas as like I said the tires are perfect , no cracking sound from cv joint. So any more ideas ? Regards John
  3. Hi all , This week a humming noise has started in my A6 , it sounds like it's coming from the front, it doesn't really change when steering left or right , it gets louder as I speed up .The tyres are all good , new recently . The problem is my mechanic can't see to it for 3 weeks yet . Question is from the video is it a bearing and will I get away with it for 3 weeks more ? See attached video Movie001.mp4
  4. Ya that's what I'm thinking but just looking for another opinion.
  5. I've been told that the whole multimedia unit might need to be changed in order to correct it and that's running at approx €4000 , so I can't see them rushing into fixing it . Just asking to see if I can get it fixed rather than having to wait for another month .
  6. Hi All I recently had my a6 in for a mmi software update in out local main dealer . The man that worked on it damaged the door (flap) that closes down to hide the sd cards and now it won't stay closed . The dealer can't look at it again for another month , but it's bugging me ( I know OCD ) . Anybody have a fix for it that I could manage myself at home . Regards John
  7. Hi All Driving a 2015 audi a6 , the sat nav is acting up . All of a sudden it thinks I'm in Ingolstadt in Germany as my start point for every journey, even though I'm living in Ireland . I've had the mmi updated but that hasn't corrected it and I've set the start point as Ireland . But it still thinks I'm in Germany. Any ideas Thanks
