  1. Oh, and my knee is fine by the way lol
  2. If it ain’t one thing, it’s another! l was getting out of the car when a gust of wind blew the door back at me and my knee was dead level with the speaker grill. Yep that cracked it. l have had a look and to be honest, I think it would be easier to just replace the whole door card so, I am after a black all leather drivers door card with a Bose speaker grill for a b7 cabriolet if anyone has one please lt doesnt have to have all the trimmings
  3. I am happy to say that my heater is now working fine after several new parts. obviously the first thing checked and replaced was the thermostat. then we went for the heater matrix only to find it wasn’t blocked. next the garage looked at the heater switch which works the flap no success and then they looked at something I didn’t even know existed and that is the water pump for the heater. Yes apparently it has a separate water pump, well that’s what I was told. Anyway it is now fully functional
  4. It is back at the garage now, they seem to think it might be something to do with something that opens and closes a flap of some kind but knowing Audi, it is probably some modal or something
  5. Yes it does seem to be coming through the stereo and it still happens which the stereo off. What is getting me is it starts as soon as I turn the ignition on, I don’t have to start it. do you have a link to the wire suppressors and which wires would they go on? I have had I diagnostic done and all it picks up is a steering fault and apparently that was down to the radio.
  6. I haven’t but shouldn’t self bleed over a few miles?
  7. I have done some more checking on this noise and it starts as soon as I turn the ignition on, I don’t have to start the engine so I don’t know if that narrows it down at all
  8. Further to my last post, I think I spoke too soon but with this one, I had no reason to use it. Anyway, I have had a new thermostat put in and a new heater matrix. The heater hoses are getting hot but no heat coming from heater. Could it be that I am not turning it on properly? I have pushed all the buttons and set it at max and at about 28 degrees. I know the ai con is working and when I direct the air up to the windscreen, it clears the mist but today is the first time I have tried to use the heater. From what I can make out, it is supposed to have climate control but all I get is very cool air coming out. im afraid the layout isn’t idiot proof lol
  9. Well after a few problems sorting out previous owners lack of maintenance, I am happy to say my b7 is running perfect ( touch wood ) but! I fitted an android stereo system and I don’t know if it is since then or not but I am getting like an engine Erving noise coming through. The weird thing is it is still happening even if I turn the stereo up/down or off. Back in the old days you could get round it by putting a suppressor on the plugs but mine is a diesel. The faster I go the speed of the noise also goes faster. It is hard to describe the noise but maybe an engine whine might be a more suitable way to describe it. Sorry for being a bit vague.
