Audi A4 (B9) 2017 coolant loss.
Yes very pricey. I subsequently got the job done for £592 from an independent garage- water pump and timing belt. £220( VAT excluded) of that was labour.

I got a quote from an Audi dealer for £946 for water pump and timing belt. And that would be on top.of £140 to confirm the diagnosis. I've spoken to a couple of independent garages who just declined the job because it was too big.

Garage recommendation for Ayr/Kilmarnock area?
Hi I'm suffering a coolant loss and wonder if anyone has any recommendations for good garages in my area.

I have a similar problem to PHB except on an Audi A6. While I was away last week a mechanic took a look at it and said it was a leak at the water pump, and he would advise that the water pump be replaced and as the car had 85000 miles on it, he would advise getting the timing belt done at the same time. Because I was only there for a day, he was not quoting for this job, but I will see about it this coming week and let you know what the price quoted was. In my car's case, I could see wetness at the bottom of the engine lying on the cover at the floor.

LEZ Glasgow compliance
You did better than I did, I emailed [email protected] before the LEZ came into force and was told to email [email protected] . And guess what, they told me to email [email protected]. I got absolutely nowhere and gave up, hence I joined this club. Actually I did contact DVLA and they told me to contact Audi. I emailed Audi customer service and they told me to get a certificate of conformity by sending an email to [email protected] just as advised in the message above. Both these replies came through on the same day, so Glasgow, here I come eventually. Thank you for the replies

LEZ Glasgow compliance
I have a 2014 Audi A6 SE TDI Ultra and live near Glasgow. It was first registered in July 2014. According to the Glasgow LEZ checker, I am not allowed into Glasgow with this car. But on the ULEZ checker for London this car is allowed in free of charge. My V5 does not say whether it is Euro 6 compliant but all emissions that are listed on the V5 are below the values listed for Euro 6. However there is no value on my V5 for particulate emissions. Does anyone else have this problem? And what did they do? Even if you aren't worried about LEZ or ULEZ does anyone else with this car have the particulate emissions value on their V5? Anna
