  1. I will do as you say. Seeing as I'm trying to avoid going through Audi dealers, this seems like the best alternative. Not something to take shortcuts with scrapyards. I wasn't aware of a plug and play option. I'd like thank you once again. It's great to get unbiased information.
  2. Wow. That's wonderful to hear. Thanks again. I honestly didn't expect this when I first posted. So just one last quick question. When you say that the part is plug and play, this means no coding required from any garage. Thank you.
  3. From my understanding it's the control unit. My Cruise Control and Stop/Start function won't work consistently. Rarely works in fact. I have an OBDeleven, and the only faults are the voltage stabiliser and an Engine code: U111200 - Function limitation due to implausible message I brought the car in to a dealership a couple of months ago for service and a new battery. Paid extra for diagnostics to be done. They said that they fixed my Cruise Control & Stop/Start issues. They didn't. They wanted to do a few repairs which would have cost about £4500, which I got done locally for about £700. So I'm reluctant to go back. They told me that my voltage stabiliser must have gotten water damaged in the boot. But never quoted me a price either which is never a good omen. Mechanically the car runs fine. I just miss the cruise control. Thanks for the help Jason.
  4. Hi, thanks for replying so quickly. Yes it's the voltage stabiliser module, not the alternator variety. This has been confirmed by an audi technician. Could a regular garage with VCDS be able to code it or will I have prepare myself for the cold finger(again)? Thanks again.
  5. Does anyone know if I can swap out a faulty Voltage Stabiliser with a used part? I read somewhere it had to be coded in but no further information. Part No. 8K0959663D Audi A6 C7 Avant 2.0 Diesel 2014 Any help would be appreciated.
