S-Cronic

I think if you look at my detailed and long posts I did include all my experiences, however I had nothing new or any updates to post as It was fine after my adaption and oil and filter change, however, not that that mattered really, I was just very very lucky that worked for me, many others with almost exactly the same symptoms as mine never resolved their problems because truth be known there are just so many S-Tronic and especially Multi- Tronic/ CVT failures, as can be borne out by the sheer amount of owners with the same gearbox issues over and over again across many years, a shame, because as cars they are excellent, if it wasn't for those truly awful gearbox's that cost a fortune to put right, often not worth it because the numbers to repair or replace simply don't stack up, particuarly on cars over 10 yrs old or more, the manuals are robust and superb ! but who wants a manual 3.0 or V8 nowadays ?

I thought I made it clear on the 28th May post that it was now sorted? I never " promised" anything, I said I would return to update if I got any more glitche's with the gearbox but I didn't so had nothing more to report, I have now left Audi ownership and gone back to the reliabilty of BMW gearbox's, my VAG ownership days are over, just too tempramental for my liking, plus the forums and sales adverts are full of S-Tronic / Multitronic / DSG failures, and the trade hate them, very few garages wanted to get involved as soon as you mentioned my particular gearbox, I've learnt my lesson, just another customer who won't buy another Audi I'm afraid.
