  1. Hi yes I paint a bit so not a problem to do that I only thought of wrapping them for two reasons really one I can take it off if I change my mind and two I think a decent vinyl would be less susceptible to chips from road debris
  2. This is definitely doable using VCDS because i've done it think it's done using long coding ill have a look tomorrow for you
  3. Have a good look around the intake manifold to check if you have trapped a wire maybe the wires for the crank or cam sensor or something else that could be shorted to ground
  4. Get yourself a VAGCOM interface it's pretty close to dealer level diagnostic and can be used to read and clear faults program certain control modules reset service intervals graph live data and a host of other stuff. Have a look at https://www.ross-tech.com/ they only sell original interfaces be careful elsewhere because there are a lot of fake ones for sale online and these at best won't work or at worse could damage your car or damage one of its many control modules
  5. Hi all I recently had an issue with the car running cold even after a long drive and I also had no heaters in the car. Anyway after spending some time checking which coolant hoses were getting hot I found there is a small thermostat at the rear of the engine in a heater matrix size hose it looks like a coupling but inside it has a thermostat. It’s a bit awkward to replace you have to remove the plenum chamber panel at the back of the engine for access and the thermostat is located in the lowest hose just about the transmission bell housing. I spoke with my local Audi parts hub and it was out of stock so I got one from my local factors using the part number 1K0121113A or 1K0121113A if you Google either part number you will see what you are looking for if you need further information just message me on here. Anyway I hope this helps somebody Regard Andy
  6. We have recently bought a 2019 A5 s line and the trims / blades a long the sill are black and the car is white the A4 I drive is silver and so are the blades I think that they would look good in black has anyone changed the colour on there car I was thinking of either wrapping them with vinyl wrap or possibly painting them if anyone has any pictures that would be great thanks in advance
