  1. Hi does anyone know where on my A1 the power steering control module lives ? Some sites say behind steering wheel and some say under bonnet ?
  2. Steve, thanks I hope so, the only thing I’ve done prior to these lights was un bolt the pos battery terminal so other than that stumped.
  3. Hello again all my fantastic car strikes again, trying to solve my power steering issue I was pulling and checking fuses once I was content none were damaged I now have a amber airbag and ESP lights on was this due to pulling the fuses and needs deleted on a comp ?
  4. Can anyone assist, the photo is not from my car however the area around the silver plate is slightly corroded and I need to strip this all out to clean, the red plastic that covers each strip fuse do these come off or are they all linked together ?
  5. DPF I’ll need to bite the bullet and pay £250-300 to get that flushed out which should clear that problem. The car is 2012 but battery is fairly new and has been checked and all is well, the fault code is 01309 PS control module no signal/communication.
  6. Hi, I noticed a small link fuse under the bonnet at front of car where the power wires are had blown I changed that this morning hoping it was the issue but light still on. The garage checked the battery yesterday and found it all ok again never checked the alternator. The computer came out with no comms issue so thinking it’s electrical the fact it suddenly just came on without any mechanical knocks or bangs suggests more electrical. The car is in limp mode atm due to the DPF filter clogged so I’m not sure if that could relate to it in some way.
  7. Evening all, my A1 has gone into limp mode due to the DPF issue (clogged) I noticed the air-temp sensor wire was broken which after driving for several hours long distance and some city driving may have caused the DPF to not self clean and has built up so much it’s in limp mode. I believe what I need now is to get a DPF cleaned out by a DPF trained mechanic (forced clean) I assume that once it is cleaned out the car will auto correct itself and come out of limp mode ? My second question is could the power steering issue be related to being in limp mode ? The fault code for this issue is 01309 power steering module (no signal/communication) if it’s not related does anyone have any idea what it could be ? Thank you
