Sent cluster away but came back as no fault - fault was tracked to body control module - this was changed out and all is now fine, but the only issue now is the boot will not unlock on the remote. (not sure if this was working before) Works with the key opening manually. Put voltage on the output from comfort control module in the boot and it works. Scanning is coming up with comfort control module not communicating. Some of the wiring that runs through the boot flexible hose to the lid was snapped and damaged (i have now replaced all the cables). Also replaced damaged cables to the driver's door as they were also damaged. Passenger side all check out fine. I have looked at comfort module and can see now signs of corrosion or burning inside the unit. May look at getting a second hand comfort control module and fitting - will need to be recoded i believe.

Hi i have no fault codes coming up - all doors lock and unlock fine on remote. Car starts fine with both keys. Only thing that has changed is the body control module.

Hi all I have had the body control module changed due to it failing. I now have an issue with the boot won't unlock with the remote keys. Everything else works on the remote. The boot lock will unlock with the key in manual. If i put voltage onto the output from the module in the boot it operates the lock. Using VAG software and trying it on test open boot lock manual it does not operate the boot lock. Tested all wiring through the boot trunking and all wiring checks out fine and no crossing over of wires etc. No fault codes are coming up. Am i missing something in the setting somewhere? any ideas? Hi all 2008 audi A3 - car was fine yesterday no issues and both sets of keys used to work - wife took normal keys out with her so went to unlock car with spare set but found fob battery flat. Changed fob in spare set and found it would only work once to unlock new battery is ok - reprogrammed the normal way so car now locks and unlocks with spare key. Went to start the car and no lights on the dash but everything else works - if you start the engine it will run for 2 seconds dies. Wife has turned up and tried the normal set - doors lock and unlock but has the same issue as spare set ( no lights on the dash and engine will run for 2 seconds) tried the hold the unlock button and turn ignition on then off then release. Anyone got any ideas ? Thanks
