2025 a3 saloon 35 black edy
Slightly different scenario but the catching fire element was also a feature of the mk 8 golf gti and dealers were told to remove them. Vw eventually revised the design and provided one for those who had them removed. Only recorded fire that I found was in the USA.

2021 saloon reversing camera issue
All good then. You may need to code it to the car. Not sure - mine was an all new oem installation that required camera parameters to be recognised by the car but since you already have the code it may not be necessary. All depends if the camera is part of the sdf security feature. Be interested in feedback on this. Good luck.

Tech pack help please…
Not experienced personally. You also get the 360degree camera for park assist, cross traffic rear assist and the warning for joining motorways etc, electric memory front seats. Worth a visit to the dealers to see for yourself. At the end of the day only you can decide if it is worth the extra £2.5k more for the pro pack. I find you manage without the tech until you have a car with it! Hence I installed the reversing camera to my edition 1 having had it previously and found it useful. 😀

2021 saloon reversing camera issue
I think there may be two more torx bolts under the rear light trim. Memory not what it was!

A3 8Y supension and dashboard noises 26000 miles.
Don't be fobbed off. Also a vw golf problem. Special grease can temporary fix the top strut mounts and suspension bushes but eventually need to be replaced.

2021 saloon reversing camera issue
Fitted an oem reverse camera to my a3 8y sportback. Not sure if the saloon is exactly the same. Remove the warning triangle and there are two torx bolts to remove. These are the only bolts the rest are metal clips. Remove the plastic trim cover for the rear lights on each side of the boot lid. Using plastic trim tools, slide the tools into the bottom edge of the trim and lever out and pull. The clips are very tight and require quite a bit of effort. When refitting check all the metal clips are on the trim and not left on the car. Sorry don't have any pictures but there will be videos on the net.

Windscreen jets
Some cheap washer fluid can block the jets so as Steve suggests try a clean first. Jets on headlamps tend to be slightly larger.

2021 A3 1.5 petrol. Cambelt.
Thinking slightly differently - have you thought about the audi all in plan. Your car is under 6 years old and this would give you 2 years warranty, 2 services, 2 mot and 2 year roadside assistance and take you to 8 years ownership without cam belt and waterpump worries? Not cheap at about £900 though.

OEM reversing camera retrofit
Long time since I started this thread. Thought I would provide an update with coding for anyone searching this thread. I used genuine audi parts for an A3 8y - package number 8Y0.054.634A with wiring harness 8Y0.054.733 which cost £232. It came with instructions for fitting but not coding. I put the wiring through the car following the recommended route although short cut down the boot side trim rather than take the whole side trim out but the rest was along the floor clipped to the existing wiring. No trim broken or clips. One change I made was to use the earth inside the boot lid rather than inside the car body as this also saved removing some of the trim. Gaining access to the J533 module for connections was difficult and took some time to release and wriggle out from behind the steering column. Coding using OBD11 professional Gateway 19 long coding Sdf unlock PaCo_video_parksystem change to RVC_compact_smart Multimedia Adaption: Search bap: VPS_0X0B = activate VPS_OXB_msg_bus = terminal15 Search function_configuration_unit RCV_ video_input = Ethernet Note: If purchasing a new camera as I did from audi you will need to load parameters via e-odis. Any garage with e-odis should be able to do this if you have the audi part numbers. My local independent vag garage charged £50.

Official audi figures 140,000miles but many dealerships and independents still recommend every 5 years.

Door rattle
There is a good video on the net. Google - audi a3 8y door card removal. It is a 2021 car. You will need trim removal levers and t35 socket (I think). You need to remove the speaker cover first to reveal two bolts and then third bolt near the door storage tray. The door card is clipped in place. There is one electrical connector to disconnect. Find the video as it is very useful. Good luck.

Door rattle
Lots of anti rattle tape on the net of varying thicknesses. Worth having some handy when you take the door card off just in case. I find proper car cloth electrical insulation tape deals with any loose bits and pieces has good adhesion.

No start after stalling, multiple faults on OBD
OBD11 higher spec version can access vag cars up to 2024 if you use double verification. They have an agreement with vag to access the sfd protection. Cannot access the later sfd2 though.

No start after stalling, multiple faults on OBD
Can confirm OBD11 can code up to 2024 without need for ODIS as parameters will not have changed.

74 8Y diesel remap anyone?
Need to check the sotftware change is reversible. The best tuners adjust to individual cars, not provide a generic map. Not sure what the various tuners do? Figures from celtec look good. Not sure of price? Superchips have a Xmas offer of £250 with similar performance til 31 Dec. I presume you have thought about possibly of a remap the gearbox to get maximum benefit, warranty may be invalidated and need to inform insurer. Good luck.

Got this warning today while driving
Some folks have fitted a dipstick for peace of mind. Not a big job. Purchase from main dealer. They won't have a part number for your car as they are no longer a routine part but earlier model should fit.

S3 exhaust valves
Plug and play only refers to the electronics unfortunately. Disabling the safety bits is the bonus. Fortunately able to sort my 2023 car as can get past the component protection and access the controllers. Set my safety features to remember the last setting so still available if needed.

S3 exhaust valves
Not personally but a friend has fitted one to a 2023 s3. Takes a while to fit and need to get underneath the car and remove the undertray to fit. He is pleased with the result. Not massively louder but noticeable when flaps are open. Negates the software that was changed when particulate filter was introduced that reduces flap opening so louder when wanted at the push of a button. Not sure how it affects warranty though.

Drivers side storage box/flap part nr 8Y2863084A
No wires behind. Just carefully lever off the flap and fix drawer.

2020 Audi a3 8y cam belt change
Some independant garages have access to audi digital service records and when service plan comes to an end worth trying to find one.

Extension leads
Not had personal experience of using extension leads. As said previously it depends on the continuos current you are drawing. If your supplied cable has a domestic plug then it will not draw more than 13amps. 32 amp armoured extension cables are used on building projects but use more robust waterproof connectors. 16 amp cables are available for caravan hookup but with same waterproof connectors. There are domestic extension cables with 2.5mm 3 core that would probably be suitable as they are typically rated 20amp but need to check as different construction has an impact.. Cables wound on drums need to be fully extended when in use.

2021 Audi A3 TFSI e (UK) How to Check High Voltage Battery
I have checked the options for the A3 2021 tfsi e on my account and it would appear to only offer state of charge and not a health check. I have not been able to get a response from members on the obd website to the health check. Sorry but my suggestion may not provide what you are looking for. Surprised that not more people are asking for health check info. Supposed it is early days for most customers to be considering buying used ev type vehicles although the battery state is a major talking point for those looking for one.

2021 Audi A3 TFSI e (UK) How to Check High Voltage Battery
OBDeleven runs on android and the software is downloaded from the site to your laptop/phone. If you go for the Pro version and use two step access you can access all SFD protected modules but not SFD 2 which I believe is fitted to the post 2023 versions of the A3. OBDeleven has vag approval to access SFD modules.

2021 Audi A3 TFSI e (UK) How to Check High Voltage Battery
Another diagnostic tool is obdeleven. Works on android tablet/phone using Bluetooth connection to the dongle that fits into the car. The pro version can access SFD on A3 cars up to 2023 and does all the things vcds does such as clearing DTC and coding. Can be used on any vag car with no limit on vin. The support is not the same standard as vcds but is generally helpful with queries. If you are only an occasional user less money and no requirement for a laptop. I use it on my 2023 a3 tfsi and fitted a reversing camera and it unlocked the SFD. Also use it on 2019 gti and 2016 seat leon. As Richard says it is still necessary to access odis for some coding parameters on later cars but many independant vag specialists use it so not always necessary to use main dealers. Hope this is helpful in your search for a solution.

Emission lamp
Agree with Audisq524. The picture is showing the eml on. This could be caused by the battery so suggest first ensure that it is fully charged. A new battery will need coding to the car. A fault scan will give you more info. The OBD reader I have is an OBDeleven bought about 5 years ago and has worked well on various VAG cars (Seat, audi, vw) over that time.
