  1. Is it the plastic side covers that you sealed up or the whole light cluster? I can't understand how this is such a common problem and no fix to it 🙈 you'd think new seals would be enough to fix the issue 🤬 Cheers bud
  2. I bought a set of used lights and fitted them, unfortunately they are still letting in water, ive now got a set of new tail light seals so im going to fit those and see if this cures the issue... if not then ill be at a total loss as to how the water is getting in.
  3. Do you think a collapsed rear mount would cause these symptoms and fail with no warning at all?
  4. Hey guys, So my partners car (2016 2.0L tdi 6speed 190ps) stopped changing gears on her today, she said it was driving fine, she pulled into go to the shop, pulled tight to a jeep went to reverse a few feet and the car inched forward. She waited to the jeep owner moved a d tried driving forward to see if it was just in reverse.... but the car inched forward and then stalled. Fast forward to this evening, I had a try to see what it was doing. To me the car feels like your trying to take of in 4th/5th in bites slightly then stalls with burning clutch smell! The gearstick feels loose but not disconnected if that makes sense? Im thinking possibly the linkage stabiliser bar or possibly the nut that holds the ball part of the socket on to the box. Has anyone a schematic for this linkage? Its sitting on a hill so I didn't feel confident jacking it up to investigate.
  5. Hi guys and gals. Has anyone ever got to bottom of this? I understand that the pressure vents behind the bumper was a possible solution... but I can't figure how water would get from there to the boot lid other than through the tailights themselves. I was thinking the water runs down the channel between the rear wing and the boot lid and then in through the lights.
