  1. From that you it looks as if you don't have DAB on the set despite the DAB bit at the top. That suggests to me that you might well have a fault with the MMI or it isn't a DAB capable set. Have you had DAB reception in the past? There was a known software glitch in the 2016 A3 a few years ago that meant DAB just disappeared. Unfortunately it is a dealer only solution. Anyway on the Q3 the process is to go to the Waveband option and select the waveband you want. Here mine shows DAB, FM and MW (aka AM) as available. From this screen select the waveband you want and the update station list option is at the top of the list. I've selected DAB and as you can see the update option is there.
  2. Mine has been fine for some weeks now, I did have issues caused by my dashcam. That may not be relevant to an A3 though as it depends where the radio aerial is located, on a Q3 it is in the rear window glass. On a Q3 the Update Station List option is at the top of the main station listing screen on each waveband, it is NOT on the Memory list screen.
  3. Just checked mine, I've got perfect reception at the moment. I did find out part of my problem, interference from a dash cam set up (Blackvue) with a rear camera. It was fine until I did a software update about 6 weeks ago. Fitted ferrite filters to the rear camera lead at both ends and it's been fine ever since I did that.
  4. I've had a response from Audi as well I've replied pointing out that Planet Rock switched to DAB+ in October 2023 and I've had no issues with reception until March 2025. Awaiting a further response ... Oh, Planet Rock is a Bauer Media Audio UK station. It transmits on band 11A which is the frequency band we appeared to lose, my partners Fiesta (2 years OLDER than my Q3) has not had any issues throughout all of this. Nor have any of my DAB+ radios at home.
  5. Wow! Same here and a lot stronger signal it seems but I'll know better tonight.
  6. I've been wondering, are the radio units coded to the car i.e. require VCDS or similar if the head unit is changed? Also do any other parts need changing if going from an RMC head to an MMI 3G head etc ...
  7. I've made an enquiry of a well known supplier of VW/Audi audio system upgrades. Their reply was - So it very much looks as if we are all stuck with no DAB+ unless Audi come up with a hardware upgrade.
  8. I said I'd get the brush off - I've replied asking for my concerns to be escalated to senior management due to the number of people affected. My car is booked in for an MOT next month so might get a scan done then if it doesn't hurt the wallet too much.
  9. Just had a response from local main stealers. £192 minimum charge to run a diagnostic. Not aware of any issues and say it is is most likely a fault with the individual vehicle.
  10. Now raised with AudiUK. Fully expect to be fobbed off as have others.
  11. Just joined. Exactly the same issue here, DAB SDL stopped working about three weeks ago. Reception had been sporadic since 2023. It seems the radio fitted (Bose system) isn't DAB+ compatible. Mentioned it at my last service and was told no faults recorded. Like others here I'm on software version RMC_EU_P16342. DAB+ stand alone adapter under consideration ...
