  1. I got both the hubs and bearing kit from ebay with the bearing kit £17.50 ea included both bolts from carpartsinmotion they had good feedback and the hubs purely on price 2 front for £50 from brillbuyuk although they have good feedback
  2. Cheers @Turlough I remember buying Fedoro parts donkeys years ago when I had an old mk3 cortina never gave them a thought but haven't yet started on the rears.
  3. Cheers Gareth I've just got Febi front hubs and wheel bearing kit along with a Frenkit caliper recon kit for my S2 front caliper conversion upgrade 🤞 but may need cv joints or complete shafts depending on their condition once off and wishbones.
  4. Back again just started a refurb of front calipers, struts wishbones etc and will probably be replacing either the drive shafts as a whole or refurbing them with new joints but which manufacturers should I be looking to buy from as places like ebay are awash with different ones and I'd rather have decent quality items that are going to last but at a reasonable price. Cheers
  5. Will do here's a couple of links for the 2 oil seals and the hall sender, the fibre washers I had and were m12 x 20m. Oil seal £2.51 https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/p25677/12x19x5mm-Nitrile-Rubber-Double-Lip-Rotary-Shaft-Oil-Seal-with-Garter-Spring-R23-/-TC/product_info.html 'O' ring £4.13 https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/Seals-O-Ring-Seals-NITRILE-O-Rings/c19_4501_4705/index.html?selection=Nitrile+Rubber+O-Rings Hall sender £35 https://www.ignitioncarparts.co.uk/PartDetails.aspx?s_pc=PPU2007
  6. Cheers guys after changing the oil seals and fibre washers in the dizzy and replacing the hall sender I have a running engine ticking over nicely now to flush and replace the oil and coolant then onto the brakes and suspension. 👍
  7. Strange request but I'm looking for the plastic casings from a pair of b3 80 headlights. Cheers
  8. A quick update after fitting a new battery with no change I tested the hall sender by disconecting and grounding the middle connector and got the good spark I've been after so the dizzy is out and looking to source a new sender, if anyone can point me to a good supplier, along with new oil seals and fibre washers for the dizzy whilst it's out.
  9. Hi Cliff I believe it's KE-Jetronic system there are no points involved. I tested the coil firstly by using a lead and cranking no spark from the coil I then removed it and did an ohm test which I'm sure was within the range. Now I'm after where to go next.
  10. I did some multimeter testing set at 20k with the leads and got 8.5 , 9.2, 10.3 & 11.2 shortest to longest and with the coil to dizzy lead 4.3. On the coil itself also set at 20k from 1- to lead output 7.8 and set at 200 across terminals 1- & 15+ I got 03.2. Do these readings seem ok?
  11. I'm lost as to what 'not quite the same' means Magnet
  12. Must of missed that Magnet, I've no points just coil to dizzy/ rotor arm
  13. So how do I go about testing my coil without removing it.
  14. Not quite it's a coil serving the distributor. Oh, I always thought the coil sent the spark and the ditributor passed it to the plugs.
  15. Not quite it's a coil serving the distributor.
  16. Hi all I've just sorted out my fuel system but have no spark, I've cleaned the dizzy cap and rotor arm which both look ok and tested the resistance in all leads which were ok too now I had a go at testing the coil but I'm not great with electrics.Has anyone got an idiot proof guide to doing this. Thanks
  17. Luckily it's fairly old so I hope it won't be over complicated🤞
  18. Well I'm sorted with the fueling injectors singing nicely but no spark 🙄 so back to fault finding, I hate electrics 🤣
  19. This is sorted now I pulled relay 208 pulled the injectors bridged the relay and lifted the flap on the metering head. Eventually got a good delivery of fuel from each injector. But no spark back to it.
  20. Hi I'm want to quickly test that fuel is not only reaching each injector but they don't leak and the spray pattern is ok. I did this some years ago but old age and lost info has left me needing my memory jogged 🙄 so after popping each injector and resting them in seperate jars I know I have to pull the relay and use the bridging tool then after raising the flap on the metering head I can time and measure but which relay and what position to put the bridge is where I've gone blank. 91 80 16vq Cheers
  21. Yeah will update you as I progress, I'm sure ti be popping up for a while I was always on Audifans back when mine was on the road and I've a fair bit of work to do thanks.
  22. Hi guys can anyone suggest a part no. checking site I'm trying to confirm parts for a front brake upgrade on my b3 16vq I've got the twin pot calipers but have been told I also need the hubs from a 90q so got hold of 2 part no DE 895258 & 7 k just want to make sure they're correct before they're refurbed thanks
  23. Ok that's doable cheers
  24. Cheers for that seems straight forward enough to get the tank out, it's metal. Any suggestions on cleaning fuel lines & pipes.
