I remember when placing my A6 Sport Saloon into the dealer for its Warranty service, shortly after drivign out, the Engine Managment light came on. About turned and took it back, and after a five minute diagnostic check, turned out the problem was the Oil Filler cap in the engine was not properly closed and engaged ! Unbelievable, such fiddly electronic sensors on these things nowadays

This is such an inherent Audi VW problem that they have known about since 2019 but still have not fixed. I suffered with my 2022 A6 Saloon and the excuses are terrible. Having looked into this in depth, it appears they are getting out from classing this as a "recall" because it is not a safety issue. One direction to take if it occurs and you are out of Warranty, is to kick up such a fuss about this at the Audi Dealership referring them to the European wide issue with this problem and as such this is Audi's problem to resolve. Definately one for the Ambulance Chaser's to start an Class A action on ?
