  1. Hi all. I had previously posted re issues with my A6 TDI 40 and things have escalated. The dealer had said they had replaced the mechatronic and were found to have lied. As things are going legal, I would appreciate some input. Besides coasting oddly, the car also did the following- Physically would not go into reverse from day 1 Got stuck in 1st in manual and would not shift up Displayed "Engine Failure" alert and went into limp mode The dealer is hiding behind "no fault logged" but I believe all of the above are documented problems relating to the 48v MHEV unit and comms issues between it and the TCU/ECU modules. Can someone validate my suspicion or point me to a thread on it? Thanks.
  2. No- 0W30. Its written on a panel beside the bonnet latch. They only recommend you add .5ltr of anything above that.
  3. Known issue with door sensors. Search Copilot for it. Known issues with no faults no being logged too....
  4. The jerkiness is a known issue. Besides the sensor fix you implemented, it can also be a sign of a failing mechatronic, again known issue. Not logging the fault in the ECU/TCU is also a known issue. If you are a new car owner, Audi won't replace the mechatronic unit unless the fault is logged despite the fact that there is a documented fault where the faults aren't logged...
  5. Hey Dean. I had a C7 for 4 trouble free years. I bought a 2023 C8 in July and, so far, its been off the road for a month. My advice is don't buy a C8 onwards. Even the C9's are littered with problems and service garages are full of brand new cars getting software updates. I'm stuck with mine unless it develops another fault, then I'll drive it through the dealership window! 50k for a car that's been off the road for a month and Audi washed their hands of their warranty obligations.
  6. It will be the 4th update this year for MMI issues. I had trouble with my 2023 doing the same thing and an update fixed it. I have a loan 2025 A6 and the MMI is appalling. Drops bluetooth and wifi constantly and again, known issue awaiting a bug fix.
  7. Thanks for the feedback and I wasn't suggesting there was any affiliation. In the end, Audi Ireland said no to a replacement, haven't answered 16 emails, breach of warranty complaints etc. which I find staggering for a "Premium Marque". The initial feedback was they knew nothing about any known issues despite multiple service briefs and technical service bulletins about said issues. Thankfully the dealer took it on the chin and is replacing the mechatronic unit. My long standing service dealer acknowledged there was a bag load of issues so its bizarre Audi are washing their hands of it.
  8. Hi folks- big shout out to the community to say hello. I have a 2023 A6 Avant C8 with a heap of issues that I am looking for direction on. Are ye able to provide copies/details of Audi Technical Service bulletins? I suspect the Mechatronic unit is on the way out and, even though the car is under warranty, Audi are being difficult to deal with. Thanks- Michael.
