  1. Had all 6 injector seals & o rings replaced, new bolts and new brackets ยฃ445 inc vat at midland vw No more chuffing sound, they said all 6 injector seals were failed or failing and 2 dropped into cylinder head whilst removing so they had to remove head and re-fit. Drove the car for around 40 miles now and all seems fine now ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ Cheers for all the help guys ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ
  2. Ive read very good reviews and been recommended this vag specialist (midland vw) by a friend whos had head rebuilt on his mrs a1 and couldnt speak highly enough I guess only time will tell, I thought id use them as they are reputable company around the midlands and i want it done properly. They have over 25 years of vag experience and only deal with VW, AUDI, SKODA, SEAT. Id preferably like to use darkside developments but they are quite a way from me ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  3. I did answer this up the thread buddy.. Its going to a vag specialist called midland vw ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป "Yes wouldn't touch dealer only unless I really had too! I will look at midlands vw in Norton canes they are a audi vw specialist, ill give them a call and get some prices."
  4. I will keep you all posted on the outcome. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  5. Hi mate please read again wouldnt touch a dealer! Its going to midland vw in Norton canes, west midlands a vag specialist.
  6. Yes mate its a 2014 (64) plate audi q7 3.0 tdi sport edition
  7. Hi mate yes ive called midland vw today in Norton canes and got it booked in on 2/2/26 for all 6 injector seals & washers replaced along with 6 new bolts but after looking again today the leak seems to be just below injector 4 near the manifold bolts so gave them a call back as I thought it was coming from injector at first and apparently there's a drain hole there and if copper seals have gone leaks from there, I know they are a very reputable company this way and highly recommend so I will see the outcome on the 2nd of Feb ive looked today and crankshaft pulley looks a little rusty too so I might get that changed for peace of mind if not too costly too. Regards Pete
  8. Yeah ive thought that myself dont like to do things in halfes either if im doing something I like it done properly. Its going to sit until I can stomach the repair bill if its too much money to spend in january ๐Ÿ˜‚ and ill use my works van and the mrs 120d n47 and smash some foreigners out at work the next month to repair ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Thanks for the help guys ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  9. Yes wouldn't touch dealer only unless I really had too! I will look at midlands vw in Norton canes they are a audi vw specialist, ill give them a call and get some prices.
  10. Ahh ok I know will be more costly but if it isn't too silly then might consider it but if its too much ill get the one done and hope for the best! Ill speak with them monday and have my fingers crossed ive heard horror stories from them after looking up the reviews so not very hopeful but worth a shot even if they foot some of the bill. Im going to look at midland vw in Norton canes and give them a call on prices.
  11. Good glad you're good im well myself thanks steve, yes i agree after looking at a few videos it does seem to be leaking from there and heard they are copper washers that have a little rim on and only use genuine parts not flat copper washer after watching a video on YT. Mine has only recently started to do this so hopefully nothing more serious i have no engine lights ect so cant be too serious at the moment ive parked her up and will probs get it recovered to the garage. Also think im going to see the price of all 6 to be changed and a price for 1 as i might aswell get them all done save any future problems if not too costly as I mentioned previous i do have warranty until may 2026 so might be able to get it done under that who knows I will call monday and keep people posted on the outcome. Thanks again steve ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Regards Pete
  12. Cheers steve ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  13. Hi audi owners club heres my pride and joy but pain in the A** at the moment ๐Ÿ˜‚ Pete (midlands ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง)
  14. Hi Dave could I ask how much this cost you at darkside developments please? I think I have an injector leaking on my 2014 audi q7 have the same symptoms, smell in cab and carbon sludge on outside a little ill post a video below if you could help me and tell.me if this is the problem id be much appreciated. 20260117_161435.mp4
  15. I can vouch for that, Darkside developments are well documented on youtube and are well known with 1.9 tdi engines and audi vag skoda community. My personal opinion id keep the 1.9 tdi b7, I sold my avant b7 a few years ago non sline but put the sline wheels and badges on it and looked the part had the 1.9 tdi 115 engine and was bulletproof wished id of kept it sold it at 160k to a mechanic in wales for ยฃ1250 around 4 years ago and would scream to have that car back now over this Audi q7 ive got they are a headache these new cars, i swear by the 1.9 tdi engine its always been renowned for its bulletproof reliability.
  16. Hi steve thanks for the reply buddy hope you're well? I think it looks like its blowing near the injector but im unsure as im not familiar with this 3.0 tdi engine does it look like the injector is leaking or its blowing on the video steve? Thanks again buddy
  17. As above the boot solenoid can fail you can normally hear the click when opening the boot, if everything else is working i.e key and driver door button then more than likely electric switch on handle or solenoid.
  18. Evening all im a new member to the audi forum but had many audis over the years and always been reliable I had a q7 November 2024 that had just had extensive work done including, oil cooler, alternator, pulleys & belts, new battery with a receipt for just over 3k ive had the car just over a year and done around 3.5k in it had a full service and rear wheel speed sensor (genuine) fitted in decemeber 2024 and been fine until I noticed a chugging sound on startup the other day and when I picked the little one from school noticed a oil burn smell in the cab, parked the car on the drive and havent used it since thursday, so I had time to check today and noticed it looks like its leaking from by the exhaust manifold, looks like there a build up of gunk near I think is the injector and looks like its blowing you can see in the video after camera stops shaking? Correct me if im wrong but im led to believe its the injector leaking and the copper washer failure is that right and can anyone help me out or point me in the direction, I have warranty on the car until may 2026 and if this is going to be an expensive repair I may have to claim towards it to cover some expenses, I will drop a video below i have taken today. Any help is appreciated ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป Thanks audi owners club! Regards Peter 20260117_161435.mp4
