Hi Folks, I am in the process of buying my first Audi and have chosen the Q5 S line plus. My local dealer here in Guildford is part of the Lookers Group. They have a 2013 plated Q5 with 39k miles from 2 owners. Am I allowed to get in touch with the last owner to clarify why the mileage is relatively high in recent months or is that NOT the thing to do. All the service boxes are ticked and the car looks in good nick, but the mileage just seems high for a 3yr old car.

What is the best choice on this matter.

  David - what sort of mileage are we talking? I'm assuming the price reflects this? Usually from an Audi dealer it should have had a fairly comprehensive check up before being advertised for sale.

  James, Thanks for coming back to me, it's showing 39500 or pretty close, car first registered in March 2013, so apparently still under Audi warranty till march 2016, and the dealer is saying they will give a year from purchase, having never dealt with Audi before can I take these as gospel. I am happy with the Q5 overall but the wife is cautious about the mileage. Any other things I should consider that I may or may not have mentioned would be helpful.
