  1. Thanks Spartacus 68 That's why I'm trying to locate its position so I can remove it and hopefully get a part number off it. I know I can test if it's working with a multi meter. I guess it will be a process of elimination.
  2. Thanks for the reply Spartacus 68 Autodoc is saying its 180hp AKE. It also says it is a 6 speed manual but it's an Automatic 5 speed. There is an injector sensor on pot 3 which has never worked since I have had the car 8 years. The list of sensors on Autodoc show a 3 pin connector. I think I've found that position. I'm pointing to it the the picture attached. It disappears behind all sorts but it looks like the sensor will be on the back of the block offside. I will need to remove the air intake to be able to see better but I'm going to wait until the weather improves. I've looked on LLL parts and they don't list my model which is confusing
  3. Hi Steve The engine is the 180 with the roller bearings. The engine is in time. None of the belts have snapped or jumped. All the timing marks still align. The engine turns over fine it just doesn't start. I just want to know where the Crankshaft Position Sensor is located on the engine.
  4. Thanks for the quick reply Steve and Spartacus . I have a Topdon ArtiDiag600S and it's not reporting any errors. My thinking is that the car ran perfectly after the first stall so it wouldn't be a slipped timing belt. I'm happy to spend a few quid on a new Crank sensor I just need to know it's location on the engine.
  5. Help please. I was driving as normal, but after pulling off from a junction the steering went heavy for a second, then it recovered back to normal. I drove for another mile or so and when I stopped at the next junction, the engine stopped and wouldn't restart. I think the initial event was caused by the engine stalling. From what I have read it sounds to me that it might be the crankshaft position sensor. They look like they're cheap enough so I thought that would be the first thing to try as the car has done 202,000 miles. I need help finding where the sensor is on the engine. Anyone got any clues?
